Casting quality is key too. Been burned too many times from excitement over great greens which ended being undefined metal lumps.J_Bone wrote:From talking to Pedro it appears that he will be able to start sculpting fairly soon. I was thinking of doing a Kickstarter a couple of months after Christmas.

I have made sure, before anything else to get a very good caster on board. I have seen many miniatures cast by this company (it is their bread & butter) and judging by their past work I can be absolutely certain the final product will be great quality.Stompie wrote:Casting quality is key too. I voted other. I'd be interested in a Slaan team, but I already have the Greebo/Rolljordan Horned Frog team, which I really like.
I think Dark Elves are one of the most under-represented races in terms of sculpts from 3rd parties. So I'd love to see a new Dark Elf team.

A little bit too much Spiderwick Chronicles about the artwork for my taste. (Don't get me wrong, I love Tony DiTerlizzi's style, and this artwork looks great as well.) Personally I was just hoping for at bit less frog and a bit more reptile. I like and own Roll Jordan's slann team, and they are very much froggy. Here I was hoping for something more oldskool like the previously mentioned:

To me, Axioms slann team catches the essence of what I was hoping for (without having to carve up old and rare miniatures

I love the concept! Looks like Jes Goodwin's Pro elf blitzer turned to a toad. If the rest is just as good, you have a customer.

Would have preferred a more "skinnier" look, a la 2nd ed, but the sketch still looks like it's going to be better than any other Slann on the market atm.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Re: New Slann miniatures project?
I like the general look, but would prefer it skinnier and with a smaller head.
But the other seems to like it, so who am I to complain. You can't please all anyway.

Yes, that's the thing I am having to accept as I've developed the project with Pedro. I am happy with the results now though and have been very pleased with the responses so farBrage97 wrote:You can't please all anyway.
