The skeletons are working on them. We have suffered delays due to personal problems the caster. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Keep you informed of the process. Sorry.
No need to apologize, especially if someone is delayed due to personal issues. Life is more important than miniatures.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Spent this morning cleaning up some Citadel Finecast Skaven. Thinking of making a vow not to buy any more resin. EVER.

Vortice resin is spectacularly good. My four ghouls took less than ten minutes to trim and assemble and be ready for primer. I HATED resin, but the stuff Vortice and rnestudios uses converted me!

Don't compare Citadel Finecast with any other resin products. It's not up to standards, to say the least...

Yeah, rnestudio resin is great, almost like plastic. Certainly don't judge it by finecast.

To be fair, it wasn't the quality of the resin... It was just the sheer amount of stuff I had to carve off. It looked like those 3D printing tests you see. Great end result but it took all morning for me to carefully trim and file the miniatures.

I have received miniatures from both Vortice & RN before and it is a totally different story. I was just having a joke.

Sadly those kind of jokes are direct torpedos under the waterline of the small companies that found the proper resin formulas and the correct casting methods to offer products worth the money. :(

Modern polyurethanes can be formulated to give a similar behaviour to styrene (flexibility, etc, not glue properties, obviously), silicones can copy very minute details and have undercuts (bonus over styrene), and with some skill you can achieve great casts even just by hand. With proper machinery, even more so.

The only joke is Finecast still being for sale. The tragedy as that people keep on buying, expecting it to change. GW is the one laughing, while walking to the bank.

You won't have those issues with Vortice resin Johnny, it really is top end stuff. I have the Graveyard team and the amount of prep work required was spectacularly minimal, I think only two models out of the lot had mould lines at all. There are no righ chunks or filled voids on any of them.
Very impressive quality. Can't heap enough praise on Vortice for it.

Spin cast resin though, now that is junk. And that's no joke.

As I said, I've bought Vortice resin before and have found it to be great... I am really looking forward to painting the Vortice Deathroller even if I will more than likely never use it.

I had never bought Finecast before though... Couldn't believe the amount of clean up involved. Luckily the only bit that was extensively bubbled was a hand I was cutting off anyway.

Is not trollcast spin cast? Had no significant problems with that so far.
