What an elegant solution!Pippy wrote:Yeah that's right, there'd be a split tie between the bottom 3 teams.

I guess the ideal situation would be to have a team of four on hand to make things up to even numbers only if required. Not easy to find that many volunteers for that sort of thing. It might be one for next time.

Couldn't you just round up some local drunks and sit them at a table...oh, just looked back at the teams coming, I see you did that already

In the Lutece Bowl, we have this solution : beyond a certain point, we only accept team by pairs. If you are the 15th team, we only accept your payement if a 16th team shows up.

The 3-way bottom table is fine I think.

Would be the first round paired like English Teams vs "foreign" Teams? I would like that:)

Perhaps we could make it so that the 7 teams who have travelled to the UK from overseas do not play each other in the first round i.e. Ze Germans, Tela Buenos, Hellhound and the four French teams. I'll have a think about it...

#1 - get an even number of teams, whether a normal team or "pirates". It will save so much hassle if you can get another team.
If you can't, you're going to have to draw the odd teams by hand every round, as Score can't cope. Means you're going to have to keep a record of who's played who previously, especially if you get one or two teams consistently in the bottom 3.
