Just finished putting the last bit of varnish on mine! I made the deadline!*

*Assuming the deadline is to finish and ship the mini, not to have it in the hands of the receiver, and since there's no shipping on Sunday, it has to be delayed until Monday.
Only common sense, right?

I was right, Saebelsultan's mini was waiting at the post. I picked it up, and it just happens to be one of the key pieces to a favorite team of mine. A mummy! This is the first time I've seen the Willy mummy sculpt in person and has me thinking I might end up replacing the rest of mine. I was hesitant to pick up any of the Willy minis because I've heard a lot of complaints of them being too big. He looks like the perfect size to me. Saebelsultan's paint job is really nice and the pictures probably won't do it justice. I really liked the antiquing on the brass bits. I find I pretty much always learn something when I see someone else's painted mini and this one is very cool indeed. What did you use to top the base off with? Green stuff?

Thanks again, the Cryptown Corpsers now have a new Mummy to lead them in the field! :D

Thanks a lot, faust!
I like the brassy bits too. For the antique look I used GW Nihilak Oxide.
Concerining the bases, I put a strip of sticky tape (the paper like one you use when painting walls and such) over the slit. Then I make a small cut in that and put the mini in place. That way I don't have gaps left and right of the mini. Then I put glue over the base and dip it into bird sand. Let it dry and paint in a desired color. After that maybe put some gras on it or such. Done!

I was told mine should be across the pond and delivered early this week. Canada Post is always generous on times though. Has anyone else received anything lately?
