Jump up and Pass Block
Simple Question as I don't find the answer in the LRB.
Am I allowed to use the pass block skill with a prone player when the player has the jump up skill ? (Sinnedbad starplayer for example).

Re: Jump up and Pass Block
I'm no rules guru but...
The Jump Up skill says that "if the player declares any Action other than a Block Action he may stand up for free...".
As Pass Block is not an action (Move, Pass, Blitz etc), the Jump Up skill can not be used.
Happy to be corrected though.

I am not sure because the pass block skill description reads that the player is allowed to move three squares. Jump up allowes to stand up for free when doing any other action than a block action.
As a pass block requires to move I think it depends if pass block is an action or not.
But I don't see why it is no move action as all other movement rules do apply as if the player does a move action.
And is there a movement without being a movement action anywhere else in the game? Maybe Side Step but this does also work when prone
Puzzling me
But I see your point that the description doesn't say it's an action

The official FAQ (in LRB6 but not CRP) says...

Sorry Dude,
As per my edit the FAQ's are in LRB5, CRP and LRB6 (designer notes not FAQ are omitted from CRP); theres no escaping it: Jump Up cannot be used with Pass Block.

Jump up and Pass Block
I tried repeatedly to get Tom to go with me on this to try and buff pass block and interceptions. He stood his ground though. I would have liked to see "Interception" as an out of turn action that could make this happen but I know that
A) I am in a small minority albeit not gingers
B) less passing occurs than in the NFL to make this viable

And pansy elves/ag4+ers are the most likely to make an interception....voyagers_uk wrote:I tried repeatedly to get Tom to go with me on this to try and buff pass block and interceptions. Jump up and Pass Block
My Jump up Mummy fancied his chances Digger, sorry if you assumed otherwise and used it as an opportunity for some "me time" on your soapbox....

Re: Jump up and Pass Block
My problem with this is that there is nothing in the ruleset which defines what an "action" is or is not or what differentiates an action from any non-action. Why isn't an interception attempt an action?

Page 7 of the rule book defines actions.
