Some of the sculpts are nice and dynamic, but they are all 'tits out' minis. At MA6, no amazon is going to win a sprint race - that crouching pose and the leaning lineswomen are pretty ick.

I have to agree with these points. The whole tits out thing is pretty cringeworthy IMO.

What about the racism? All of those women are Caucasian. The failure to objectify a few other ethnicities is a sad comment on our community.

I chose the 6 vamps as I have a weird idea - use the willy oversized halflings as thralls. Maybe paint em like goths: white faces with black make up. They make juicy bites.

Nope, this one will i not get. Nice Team and try, but Position 3,5 and 7 from the Thralls are exactly the same who the Chaos Beastmen from your first Kickstarter, i backed. So, good Luck, you will sure get the Money for this Project, but not mine.

It isn't crawling, it's more of a sort of 'starting blocks' pose. The one laid down in the back row is similar. None are intended to be overtly saucy or crude, they are all intended to be either active (like the running models) or passive (like the one in the front with her hands on her knees, which is a kind of patiently waiting fielder pose) sports field type poses, but with maybe a bit of a pin-up feel.

I agree, that model and some of the others could be painted to look Afro-Caribbean. A criticism I often read is that female models have their curves over exaggerated and that too many look Caucasian. But on the 28mm scale it is very difficult to differentiate between races without resorting to stereotypes.

So it is a very tricky balancing act and I think part of the reason sculptors stick to white people is that they don't want to be considered racist if they over-emphasise the differences in facial structure between white, black and asian people.

All that being said looking at the artwork for the zons the do look more like pin ups than sportswomen so am glad the sculptor toned it down a bit.

And until now I didn't get those Amazones delivered I paid for some times ago.
With Willy Miniatures I'm at last sure, I will get quality in time.

I think the Necrom models looked much better. It's a shame that they ruined the campaign. I would have been willing to pay more to get quality sculpts (I am quite possibly a fool).

You wouldn't say that if you'd seen the quality of the models that have been sent out to backers of that campaign. Low quality prints and low quality casting of some pretty cartoonish 3D renders makes for second rate minis at best.

A freind backed the Necrom campaign and has recieved the models. He's since asked me to rework them into something worth the effort. I don't much fancy that task.

Willy, ignore all this garbage about politucally correct physiology of the amazon team or Heff's tongue in cheek comments about racism. I think most readers think your stuff is great and want you to keep going! I will be buying the amazons too. Would you consider a Brettonian or Khorne team? It's boring that so many manufacturers are duplicating dwarfs and elves. If you did elves though I'd love an old school wood elf team by the same sculptor as your amazons. I don't like computer generated miniatures as I find them very fiddly to paint whereas models from greens with dynamism and only key detail more fun to paint. You could use your existing treeman for that wood elf team.

Off Topic: sad on that note ... I offered a year ago to help Necrom with the casting for that team. Sad to see it fail like it has.
