Sam, do you even know what a stunty team is? :P

I'd rather Hawk doesn't bring flings... its much more fun putting a shed-load of TDs past him when he's playing a proper team.

Only one more sleep to go! :P

I'm allowed to be excited, I don't get out much. :|

I've even chosen a roster, had it ready almost a full week before the event. Which is a personal record, I usually haven't even painted a team that early.

Its time for the customary Goblin Sportz Newz update, on this year's attendees!

Dontcallmeflossy
The world's 8th best khemri coach, 7th best halfling coach, and 6th best ogre coach. Will do well no matter what race he brings... unless its goblins.
GSN prediction: will be fighting for the top spots.

Purplegoo
Much like Samson, has lost his way since having his locks removed. Would probably do better if he were to strike off on his own, and ditch the underperforming Waterbowl crowd; or at least properly join the HDWSBBL rather than just walking through the league on the way to the Superbowl...
GSN prediction: expect him somewhere in the top 4

Wilf
A seasoned pro, and experienced on the Euro scene, Wilf is best known for two things. Running an insane tournament rewarding weaponry and hilarity, where proper coaching goes rewarded merely with cutlery prizes, and for supporting Huddersfield.
GSN prediction: will be near the top.

Howlinggriffon
An improving player, his tournament record gets better as he plays halflings less, and he has recently showing his style in various FUMBBL leagues.
GSN prediction: if he brings a decent team, he will do well.

Besters
Last year we all knew what Jim was taking, due to his mission to do the 24. No-one quite expected him to win best defence with underworld though, conceding the same over the whole tournament than Hawk did in one game against some high elf team.
GSN prediction: will be in the mix

Reaper666
Our spies tell us he may have moved beyond his dark elf fetish... hopefully so, no-one likes those emos. Not even their own mums!
GSN prediction: top 10

TheDoc
Due to a crazy bet, will be bringing goblins to the event. Will be happy with a win, or even a single draw, to put him above GSN favourite Shigglez in the eyes of the NAF.
GSN prediction: will get his win... :x

MattEdge666
Traditionally coaches either Wood elves or Orcs, and is expected to bring the pixies along this weekend. Has been improving of late as he learns from up-and-coming power-gamer The Doc.
GSN prediction: somewhere towards the top of the middle tables

Sandwich
Crazed alcoholic Sandwich gets his chance to emerge from the shadows of his orc boss Shigglez, taking a vampire team for the first time. Expect lots of blood to be spilled, as thralls get carted off the pitch like there is no tomorrow.
GSN prediction: look out for any last minute changes to the rules... or dubious prizes such as "Coach who lives closest to the event"

TalonBay
Has a winning record with ogres. Enough said.
GSN prediction: somewhere near the top

BillyDee
Our prediction of last season, when BillyDee made his NAF coaching debut, was a simple Who?. We stand by that.
GSN prediction: mid-table

Joemanji
A former world number 1, we gave up reading down the current rankings before we got to his name. Although we're goblins, we can't read. Apparently the rankings mean nothing, which we think means he's not that good.
GSN prediction: 3rd

nonumber
Seems to have been favouring skaven over the last year or so. If he brings them, all the locals will hope he's the highest place skaven coach come the end of the tournament.
GSN prediction: will finish above any local skaven coaches...

Myrmedon
Has a stunty cup to defend. Which means he will be bringing stunties. Madness I tell you.
GSN prediction: will be near the bottom overall, but happily fighting it out for the stunty cup

Hawk
Everyone loves playing Hawk. Lets just hope for 2 things... he doesn't bring heavy dice, and he writes his roster on paper...
GSN prediction: no matter how hard you try, there are some things that cannot be unseen, and belly rosters are one of those.

scs.sam
Sam knows what stunties are. Mostly, things he can kill slightly easier than other players.
GSN prediction: will power-game his way into the top 10, but not much higher

Kueller
A caring coach who puts his players health before all other issues on the BB field. A canny operator but can he be rattled by team injuries?
GSN prediction: mid-table

Arcanispark
A skaven coach, feared amongst the local coaches. No wait, its not fear, its something else. Probably just disgust.
GSN prediction: will do spawny luck things with his rat ogre, but will also fail lots with it as well

JoJo
If there's a spot prize to do with fouling, he will probably win it
GSN prediction: is anyone still reading? Probably not. 14th

Grumpygremlin
Not as grumpy as he sounds! And possibly not even a gremlin. Rumoured to be bringing necromantic.
GSN prediction: are they even a real team?

Bloodscream
Before last year's Boudica, had not played a game of bloodbowl in a long time. And it showed, as he took the wooden spoon comfortably. Not sure if he's played since last year's Boudica, but will be hoping for better showing.
GSN prediction: will do better than last year

sir_smokesalot
This year, will probably only have the 2nd most inappropriate team name/theme. Will suffer some bursts of rage to almost equal Hawk, though may not be quite as close in the standings. But given he is sponsoring the event, expect him to get a favourable draw and just edge any tiebreakers.
GSN prediction: buy some stuff from him!

DirtyNic
Its his birthday at some point over the weekend, he'll just be happy to be out and about.
GSN prediction: a solid mid-table

vmcat
A late entrant, but has tasted glory at other events so cannot be discounted.
GSN prediction: top 10

If anyone has complaints over the content, remember: I've not been coaching goblins this year, so this has nothing to do with me

Unfortunately Craig (Reaper666) isn't going to make it called up as late replacement at work.

Thanks, but I think "mid table" is an overly generous prediction for me.
After my last tournie, I'll be happy to score a touchdown...

Apologies for late message here - I am withdrawing from Boudica Bowl due to a family medical emergency today.

Big disappointment not to see you all for the games and the craic, but the health of loved ones takes precedence of course.

"Life is what happens when you are busy making make other plans", to quote John Lennon...

Apologies Wee Man Biggins and The Doc, hope the fixtures and draw will not be disrupted too much. Have a drink on me and watch out for those flying Hawk dice - I shall miss the seemingly inevitable mid-tourney slobberknocker matchup with the 'Pringlefist'

There is always next year and I shall hope to see you all at the NAFC in May. Where I shall likely be bringing my 'pixies' (yes, Sandwich!).

Cheers and best thoughts,

Matt.
