Hmmm dunno if its the latest picture but these leave me a little meh. I liked the digital pic of the thrower but not to keen on the others. Will wait and see how other images look, for me the neomic kick starter zons were nicer.

I never considered buying a Zons team, they just did not appeal to me stats wise.
However, those figs are great!
Galak you deviant son of Malmon, why do you want all my money?

Yes to each their own, im sure Chris and Tom would agree that producing minis that are universally loved is a tall order. I dont think there is anything wrong with them, they just arent to my taste.
Although I cant help but chuckle at the idea of female minis playing full.contact sport in loincloths being described as not having a single hint of mysogeny in thier design

Re: Impact! update on FF stuff
I realise this might be a little farfetched, but...
I would love to see an expansion of impact! to include a pre-pledge facility for the funding of new concepts, kind of like kickstarter but (a) perpetual, (b) entirely focussed on impact! produced $35 restic teams and (c) totally self hosted. IIRC running a kickstarter campaign currently costs in the region of 12.5% of the value of sales (if successful, more if not), including paypal fees, and includes a deduction from the recovery of any and all postage costs.
I guess in my imagination this would look work with perhaps a small discount offered to pre-pledgers who were prepared to wait until orders were at an acceptable level to allow full blown production, at which point deposits would be called in and the models produced.
That would spread the risk for the designer-manufacturers (our good friends Chis and Tom) while allowing us to vote with our wallets for the schemes we want to support to production. Impact! are showing a commitment here to providing full teams at a low cost, produced in lightweight materials that are surprisingly robust and accommodate a superb level of detail; I can get behind a company like this, and believe me, I want to.
So yeah, pipe dream, but if I can help make this happen I will happily offer my time and services for free.

Re: Impact! update on FF stuff
Kickstarters are "all or nothing". Indiegogos are the ones where starter can pick "all or nothing" or "betting against the house, because I am stupid" (if the minimum is not reached, they take a bigger slice, otherwise the same than "all or nothing"... that is a stupid bet).Shteve0 wrote:IIRC running a kickstarter campaign currently costs in the region of 12.5% of the value of sales (if successful, more if not), including paypal fees, and includes a deduction from the recovery of any and all postage costs.

According to Chris's Chibi Kickstarter update, Tom's taking a turn for the worse, and has been readmitted to hospital.Shteve0 wrote:Hopeful bump? Particularly 'hopeful' in that I really hope the delay in getting through this is due to an issue with the packages, not a sign of a complication in Tom's recovery from surgery.GalakStarscraper wrote:I'm recovering slowly from my surgery. I have a massive bags of Apes that are all mixed together that I need to sort before I can put the Apes in the store.
