These are definitely some of the best beastmen I've yet to see. Eager to see what you do with the warriors!
I really enjoy the work that Willy has been putting out the last year or so. Even if a particular sculpt isn't to my tastes, they always strike me as well done and high quality. Kind of crazy to compare the stagnant GW line to the ever evolving independent market... GW clearly left so much potential in their own product line go to waste, and great sculptors are taking advantage. Maybe that's a silver lining to them ignoring their own game... instead of one set of beastmen to buy I can choose from my favorite from 3 different companies with their own styles

Willy-miniatures: Campaing Indiegogo "Chaos Team "
Couldn't agree more. Credit GW for making the hobby scene what it is, but the competition have put forward compelling arguments for their products.
I am down for this whole team, regardless how the warriors turn out, as I trust the quality of their figures. Only ones I haven't liked were the zombies and ghouls, but they are still not dreadful just a bit out of scale

Very nice!
As said before, if the sculpts turn out like the renders that's gona be a heck of a team!
Any idea of how many (body) parts will these be made of (both CWs and Beasts)?
(Based on your experience of other models)

Yeah that i'd like to know too but before all becouse i want to be able to switch arms on that Warrior when they get mutations. Those shoulder pads are great at hiding glitches in the paint that will occour when it's just to switch an arm for a tentacle or whatever. This is one thing i dont like at all on the current Chaos teams on the market, only Neomics has that possibility and unfortunately i dont like that team at all.Axtklinge wrote:Any idea of how many (body) parts will these be made of (both CWs and Beasts)?

I'm not as taken with the CW as I would like to be... the beasts are very dynamic and while they have certain familiar imagery about them, they are also different enough from what is out there to please me
the CW doesn't have the same originality. I'm not sure HOW it could be made different or more original, and I want to be clear I'm not saying it's a copy of anything, it's just, well, kind of ordinary..
sorry....

I think this is my main criticism as well. The beastman poses are dynamic but the armor is very dull and the miniatures don't have much of a football aesthetic. You could glue an axe on the Chaos Warrior and field him in a fantasy battle without blinking an eye. The head is particularly generic.robsoma wrote:Only thing i could suggest is maybe a more football(ish) head?

Personally, that's what I quite like about it.
In my head, BB is still firmly set in the Warhammer world, and the look of the diferent races plays a big part of that for me.
When I look at other chaos warrior type fantasy football mini's from elsewhere, they fall short of looking like chaos warriors and most are just plain fugly.
The head could be changed a bit, bit is like as not a seperate piece.
