**PLAY TESTERS WANTED!**
The TSC needs committed coaches to trial a few of the below Star-Players prior to their appearance at the Fling Fest 2013.
Try them out on another halfling team or even better any other team!
Comment here or on the HFH FaceBlock wall as to thier performance, so that the TSC can evaluate there performance and tweak them if needed!

Jimbo “Rocketman” Jett
Jimbo Jett comes from a long line of tinkerers within his community of Halflings. Some say they have a drop of gnome in the family line.
From his shed he developed the Jett MkIX. A fire belching contraption that he straps to his back and flies across the pitch on a tail of burning sparks and thunderous noise. To quote the fling “ A device that negates the need to be thrown. A self throwing device as you might call it!” Needless to say it has yet to be fully perfected and the fuel he can carry does not last long for sustained periods. Accuracy has a little to be desired as well. That said, he is a crowd pleaser, especially when things go wrong!

Special Rules:
“Rocket-Pack”
The rocket pack can only hold so much fuel and this is represented by the fact that it can only hold 6 D6's worth of propulsion.
When Jimbo wishes to activate his rocket-pack, the owning coach must nominate a flight path direction along a straight line.(A line leading off from the player from the flat side or diagonals of his square) Also the coach must nominate how much fuel Jimbo will burn on this use. This is a number of D6's from the remaining store of 6 D6's that represent the fuel in the rocket-pack.
The coach rolls this many of D6's and add 6 to the total of the dice rolled. This is how far Jimbo sails through the air along the nominated flight path. He them scatters 3 D8 from that square like a normal thrown team-mate. He also has to roll to land. Fortunately with a rocket-pack, just before landing he can spare a little squirt of thrust to slow his decent. This allows Jimbo a re-roll to landing. Landing rolls are the same as landings from a Throw-Team Mate.
If Jimbo Jett should some how mange to end up in the crowd, treat it as a crowd surfing like any other event. Ball being thrown in and player being injured etc.
Example;
Jimbo has the already used 2 dice worth of fuel previously in the match an thus has only 4 dice worth of fuel left. Being deep in his own half, holding the ball, and 90% of an orc team bearing down on him, he opts to unleash 3 D6 worth of fuel on a jump. The coach rolls 3 D6's and gets a 5 a 4 and a 2 giving 11 and adds another 6 giving 17. Jimbo flys 17 squares straight down the pitch, ball in hand. He scatters three times, passing dangerously close to the crowd and comes in for a landing, firing of a quick burst of flame from the rocket-pack. The coach rolls a 3 for the landing, but with Jimbos landing re-roll, has another attempt and rolls a 5! Jimbo lands in a brief cloud of smoke and dashes out of it, still carrying the ball and over the line after a little extra flexing of the leg muscles!
If Jimbo uses up all his rocket-pack fuel he may ditch the rocket-pack and increase his movement to 5 for the start of the next drive or half.
Rogan “Cutlerine” Josh
Coming from unknown origins and an un-halfling like temper, Cutlerine is not a fling to be trifled with.
Lashed to his forearms is an array of sharpened eating utensils. Many an opponent has fid themselves on the end of a deadly spooning or Cutlerine growling in their ear as the light dim saying “How gives a Fork now?!”
Unfortunately his pent up rage can be boon and a hindrance dependant on unknown whims of his mind.

Special Rules:
“Frenzied-Stab”
Armed with an array of sharp impliments and an unsatiated fury, Rogan “Cutlerine” Josh lays into his opponents with relish.
Instead of making a block, Rogan can make a Frenzied-Stab attack on an opponent standing next to him. Make a normal Stab attack as per the normal rules. If this first attack fails to take down the targeted player Rogan must make another Stab attack on them.
If the first attack puts the opponent on the floor or even better off the field, Rogan may make a second Stab attack on another opponent player that is standing in another adjacent square to him. The flings an animal!
Frenzied-Stab may be used as the teams Blitz action for the teams turn. This time Rogan can only make a second Stab attack on the same player.
Paddy “BOOM-BOOM” Stan
Paddy comes weighed down with nearly his own weight in the best kind of black powder charges the dwarf kingdoms make. His sole aim to maim! Paddy is a dangerous fling to deal with, if he is knocked to the ground by any means, there is a 50/50 chance that he will detonate..Even a perfect landing may give a big enough jolt to set off the Bomb-Pack!

Special Rules:
“Bomb Pack”
If Paddy happens to get knocked over or even make a successful landing from a Throw Team Mate action, roll a D6, 1 to 3 the Bomb Pack does not go off, 4 to 6 KA-BLUUUWEEE! (See below like manual detonation).
During Paddys turn, he may nominate to manually detonate his explosives. Paddy is an automatic casualty, obviously. The resulting explosion goes off like a Bomb from a Bombadier, except that it is a tiney-winey bit more devastating!
The explosion centres on the square where Paddy WAS standing. ANY player standing in an adjacent square is struck by the blast and knocked over on a roll of 3+ on a D6. Mighty Blow is used on the knocked over players for Armour rolls and/or injury rolls.
Sweedy “Bacon Slicer” Codd
It seems that it takes allsorts to play Blood Bowl and most teams scrap the bottom of the barrel to find players. This is how , once halfling community butcher, Sweedy Codd found himself suddenly on the field one game, hand held bacon slicer in one hand, the “Flings Shilling” in the other facing down a mean mob of norse. He soon rose to some fame with his years-honed skills of wielding a slicer came to some use other than gouging slabs of steaming meat from a pig carcase and rather started slicing slabs of meat off the opposition! Sweedy funnily enough has a large vampire fan base!

“Bacon-Slicer”
This well crafted clockwork device has served the halfling race well for countless years. Fortunately, Sweedy Codd no takes bits off the enemy with it!
The Bacon-Slicer is used instead of a block or part of the block in a Blitz action. When used and due to it's innate sharpness, the Bacon-Slicer counts as having Claw and Mighty Blow when making an attack against an opponent.
Pot-Plant
Hailing from the esteemed ranks of the Hundred Feet Heroes. This quiet little shrubbery, makes his presence known on the field by his fast root work and ability to put the enemy on their backsides more often than not!

“The Thong”
There is always a “wrong'un” that somebody knows. “The Thong” happens to be one that EVERYONE knows about!. Wearing his trademark Flossing-Grade Thong and grinning gimp mask, “The Thongs” unnerving moves towards opponents, strutting his stuff in there direction can turn a flings stomach and put anyone off their game. Many an unsuspecting opponent thinking they've gotten away turn around to find him panting at them through his mask, eyes staring intently at them!

Nine Jarr
Some say he was dropped as a baby in the river and floated away to foreign lands and returned years later changed, wrapped in scarves and bandages but possessing unimagined subtlety for one of the Halfling race.
His hands are as fast as lightning. It's a little bit frightening. He's a master at Yuck-Fou fighting. Every plays gets more and more exciting!
