You want to post the Ape roster for us Chance?
Heh, Thadrin is right! Notice I intro-ed ths show with, "...recorded in early April..." :D

I'll post it here and over on pseudoradio. I was busy last night GETTING MY APE TATTOO!!! :)

Uno momento, mi amigos...and here you go!

TYPE OF TEAM - Fun, midrange team that may or may not give it their all!

HIGHLIGHTS OF TEAM

CHANCE - I love the unusual starting skills of Wrestle, Pass Block on your Linemen and the sheer weirdness of the slowest Thrower in the game, the Orangutan, that can literally decide to climb a tree for a nap midgame!

POSITION DISCUSSION

Treehouse (E) - When this player ends his turn adjacent to a standing Treeman or a Treeman ends his turn next to this player, place this player in the Reserves box.

Gorillas - 100K (x4) - 5/4/3/9 - Guard, Grab, Wild Animal, Treehouse - S(GA)
--- MiB, Break Tackle, Stand Firm (Block)

Chimpanzees - 80K (x2) - 6/3/3/8 - Wrestle, Sure Feet, Dauntless, Treehouse - GA(S)
--- Dodge, Tackle, JU (Guard/MIB, Juggernaut, Frenzy)

Orangutans - 70K (x2) - 3/3/3/9 - Strong Arm, Accurate, Fend, Treehouse GP(A)
--- Pass, Safe Throw, Block, Leader, KOR (Dodge)

Gibbons - 60K (x8) - 7/3/4/7 - Leap, Side Step, Pass Block, Treehouse - A(G)
--- Dodge, Catch, JU (Wrestle/Block)

Silverback - 140K (x1) - 5/5/2/9 - Wild Animal, Mighty Blow, Stand Firm, Loner, Treehouse - S(GA)
--- Guard, Grab, Break Tackle (Block, Dodge, Pro)

REROLLS - 60K

STARTING BUILD

Gorillas x4 (400K)
Chimps x1 (80K)
Orangutan x1 (70K)
Gibbon x5 (300K)
RR x2 (120K)

30K in the bank

PURCHASE SCHEDULE

CHANCE - Apoth, Reroll #3, Chimp #2, Silverback

FINAL THOUGHTS:

CHANCE - The Apes are a strange combination of versatile (they can do a little of everything - hit, throw, run) and specialized (each member of the team not having access to certain charts). Their ability to adapt should serve them well in the Blood Bowl jungle...just stay away from Treemen or your Apes will leave you hanging!

I really think you have gone a bit overboard with the skills for that team. I’m also not sure how journeymen would work when the basic players are 0-8.

Treehouse seems pretty extreme as well, against 22 teams it has no impact but against the other 2 you basically lose your LOS when on defence. :o
Shouldn’t there be a dice roll involved or something?

A single treeman could remove up to 8 apes a turn! Break tackle into a cage and *boom* apes go by by. ULTIMATE CAGE CRACKER!
I love the fluff but, owwww. Who's going to skill up a leaping tree first?

Gorillas are too fat and lazy to have the Treehouse trait. I think they'd prefer to just chill on the ground.

Gorillas nest and prefer to sleep in trees. Seriously. :)

This team is in no way meant to be serious. They have too many skills, Treehouse is ridiculous and their costs are bizarre to say the least. Which was the point. :) In the alternate dimension where I somehow blackmailed way onto the LRB7.0 committee, I would propose a much different ape team. Well, mostly different. :)

...But how do we balance them. Their win rate is too high in .

Next ep delayed just a bit due to producer illness. :) We are planning to meet this week and again this weekend to record commentary, commercials and other weirdness for Critical Hit Blood Bowl XII between the defending champion Cap'n Chaos and Champing at the Bite! Chaos vs Vamps for the title!

For those of you that enjoy these game broadcasts, this BB might be the most exciting yet!

WARNING - Next episode will be LONG. You have been warned. :)

I enjoy them, but now I can't do them because people will think we're ripping you off! Bah! They should know we rip everyone off! hehe
But really, loving the fluff and character of the game, these are my favorite ones. And eventually we might do something sorta similar... who knows... bwahahaha :-)

Do your own! We sure don't own the patent! I would LOVE to listen to someone else's game broadcasts and not know the ending for once! If you ever want some pointers as to how we do ours, I'd be happy to help.

Just don't make yours better than ours.

You know, the treehouse skill might work if each ape that "climbs up" in a treeman adds +1 to it's take root roll.

Not bad, I like it! Takes a total joke skill and gives it even more flavor! :D

I still like having the Silverback climb the Treeman and KO them both!

Looks like May 14th now for Critical BB XII - but here is a teaser for the show after - we will have a first time guest on to discuss, among other things, a REAL team that is not in LRB 6.0! This is NOT another joke! :D
