quick note.... I know it is sad that you both missed the play-offs and therefore won't be in the Bloodbowl when you cover it... but don't let that stop you from subbing in one of your league mates to commentate, they are a likeable knowledgable bunch who add flavour to your productions...
and they won't be so Anti-Elf as Chance...

Re: Three Die Block - Blood Bowl Podcast
Thanks to everyone who got shirts and letting us know they arrived. And thanks for the pics!
Voyager_UK - I'm not anti-Elf, I'm pro-Elf injury.
It was very disappointing that my Sun City Devils failed to make the playoffs and earn a chance to improve on last season's semi-final showing. Not to worry, we will certainly have another local coach (or more!) involved in our coverage of CHGBBXI! Both finalists from last year made it so the playoffs will feature Orcs (x2), Wood Elves, Slann, Norse, Lizards, Nurgle and Chaos!
We'll cover the seedings and match-ups on the next show! Get your predictions in and tune into CHGBBXI in the next few eps!
Also, there are a few shirts left if anyone is interested!

New 3DB is up! Undead 2.0, the stupidest BB debate ever and we find out who will throw down in CHGBB11! We are joined by the silky smooth sound of Drew Buccicone! He and I will also show up at Chaos Cup next weekend!
Still a few shirts left - who wants one?
You want to stick around for the end of this one as it marks a turning point for 3DB. The show will never be the same and I am not joking.
Next episode in two weeks - CHGBB11!!!

Don't know if Pauly visits here often. If not Chance can you pass on my congratulations? I for one will miss Mr. "Love of Re-Rolls"! Understand his decision, had to take a little breather myself recently (though for different reasons) and I wish all three of them the best for the future...
... Hope I haven't ruined the ending for anyone!

Re: Three Die Block - Blood Bowl Podcast
Congrats to Pauly. Have fun.
My 2 cents on the argument. On defense, Dodge is way better. Say the other guy doesn't have block, you he rolls both down and defender stumble, well, if he doesn't have block, he'll probably go with defender stumbles, and you survive. If you had block instead, you'd be on the floor.
But what if he did have block? Well then it wouldn't matter. If he had block, and you had dodge, he'd go both down, but if you did have block, and he had block, he'd go with defender stumbles.
In the end, in this situation, if he has block, then the odds of you staying standing are the same whether you have block or dodge. But if he doesn't have Block, then the odds of you staying standing are significantly higher if you have dodge instead of block.
But that only helps on the opponents turn, what about on your own turn you might ask?
Well, in that case you have to think whether you will get more, less or the same amount of use from dodge as you would from block. If it is the same amount of use, then Dodge (which has been shown to be superior on the opponents turn already) is the better choice.
So, you are standing next to a guy, you can blitz (but only once) block (but can't move) or dodge away. Are the odds in your favor? Let's say for both that they are a wash. No body is around you, you have 3 agility, and equal strength to the opponent. If you block, you can't move, so you lose mobility, a huge negative in blood bowl. If you blitz, well you can't blitz anyone else that turn but if you dodge, you might be able to get away. Not only that, but if your dodge didn't activate, you can keep using it again. Block can be used once on your turn (unless you have frenzy) and it might not help at all (only has a 1 in 6 chance of being useful on a 1 die block) while dodge has a 2 in 6 chance of being needed, and if you end up not using it, you can dodge somewhere else, and if you do use it you can be cautious.
This is why dodge is the better skill of the two of them. Enough said.
