Once again axiom, great looking team you have there! Are you playing with these guys yet? If so how are you getting on?

Thanks! Glad you like them :)

They're getting their first run out at a mini-tournament next weekend. I'll let you know how they fare - I'm guessing the Catchers will be pretty tasty, but I'm not going to rely too heavily on linemen making all their leap rolls!

ya know, we're blessed with all the "slann" type teams out today. what was it? just a few years ago when there was none? now, you can covert a team(like the kroot conversion kits from impact!, witch are great, imo) or, take your pick, buy a complete team. choice is yours!
that being said, theres something that grabs my eye every time i see these "old school" froggies made into a bb team. always looks good to me. and you did a really good job with the conversions and the paint work. tip of the hat to ya!

I suppose that's one of the reasons why I made theses guys - there's a little bit of conditioning as these are 'what slann should look like', a little bit of nostalgia as well as a little bit of the converting bug. I like the Gaspez team etc, but none of those really spoke to me as much as using old school cool :)

Personally I went with the Greebo frogs with a Sarcos Kroxigor but I know what you mean about the 'Old Skool' teams! I'd love have original Slann and 'Fling teams.

Wow, these are absolutely gorgeous. This is the first time I've seen a slann team built in exactly the way they would have been built during 2nd edition, using the models availble then. Damn, I want a team of these now... *exactly* like these.

Thanks very much! I think I've seen one other team using old Slann figures which was painted with lots of different lovely poison tree frog skin patterns, but I think that's about it. There's nothing stopping you from building your own team (after the Dungeonbowl project is finished!).

I wish, I don't seem to have much luck on ebay when it comes to sourcing old GW models, especially since I'm on a budget and go cheap whenever I can. I'll just admire yours for the time being.

Actually, I just remembered that I do have a single slann blood bowl player in my collection, only survivor from a blister of them I bought back in the 90's. I'll see if I can get a pic some time. :D

Well, gave these guys their first run out today in a mini tournament against humans, orcs and dark elves. I think it's safe to say that they're not the easiest team to use because of the lack of starting skills. The Blitzers don't play like normal Blitzers without Block, although Jump Up is a useful skill. Catchers on the other hand are brilliant. I'll be looking to get the maximum 4 as soon as possible. A lot of fun, and these froggies certainly played well, in spite of running in a record of 0 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses :)
