Weird. I can usually download the new ep from iTunes immediately. Then, I immediately regret it as I listen for errors and find too many to count. :)

Hope you guys enjoy the new cast!
I think that there is some delay before iTunes automatically updates if you're subscribed. I tend to download new episodes as soon as they're available ('cos I is sad and don't have anything better to do!) but if I forget they usually appear on my iTunes list a day or two later.

Was a great episode. There is a lot to learn about a team like the Vampires, that play so different from other teams. Also enjoyed the shout out. Hopefully people will post more questions for you to answer. I think you do a good job covering the teams, so I'm sure you'll be able to answer whatever questions are thrown at you.

I too am looking forward to the question/answer session. Should be good. I agree with legowarrior, you two do a fantastic job covering the individual teams. I love the fact that you've redone the teams too. And that you're not afraid to admit any mistakes you made in the first podcast. :orc:

Loved the vamps episode. They're definately on my 'to do' list (after Underworld and Orcs)!

Just wanted to give a shout out and say congratulations to the 3DB team on putting out such a great show on a consistent basis!

Been listening for a long time now and the quality of the analysis has improved dramatically since the first few shows!

Really enjoying the 2.0 series at the moment and hope you guys keep producing the podcast for a long while to come!

Chance, there is really no excuse for you not to run the PC version of the game on your Mac by now (unless you already do, because I haven't heard the last couple of shows yet)! Boot Camp, Parallels, VMware Fusion and Virtual Box will all run Windows on your Mac, but I guess you know that by now! :)

It would be interesting to know if Pauly has joined any of the online private leagues in the PC game too.

Thanks for the kind words, danton! Glad you enjoy the show!

I finally bit the bullet, partitioned my Mac hard drive, downloaded/installed boot camp, bought/installed Windows on the smaller partition and downloaded/installed BB:LE. Even bought a 2-button mouse.

Played it about a dozen times before discovering FUMBBL, which does everything BB:LE does but for free and it works with Macs.

Really, really, really wish I had found FUMBBL a week earlier. ;) BB:LE is fine, I'll get back to it eventually but I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE mouse/keyboard controls for games. With FUMMBL, the game is basically a grid so it seems smoother - with BB:LE, you have to worry about all the camera angles and not click on the guy sort of standing in front of the guy you want, it's just a mess (for me, anyway). LOVE the XBox controller for the obviously substandard XBox BB game but have not been able to get BB:LE to recognize it, even though it is running on Windows and the controller is a Microsoft product. I also keep wishing I could play it on the big screen, which I know is possible by hooking your computer up correctly but, again, one more step in a ridiculously elaborate and expensive process that I now regret.

BB:LE on the XBox would have been so incredibly amazing, I just can't help but be disappointed playing it on the computer. FUMMBL's awesomeness has not helped. ;)

Good ep guys. Liked hearing about Fumbbl. I am still having problems accessing the ranked division (any help gratefully accepted) but I love playing on the site, it's all good.

Look forward to hearing the next ep.

I'm going to pick on SunDevil a bit here, but the BBLE is a grid system, too. I always turn off the camera stuff when I play it and zoom out so it's like I'm looking at a more detailed grid - pretty much just like fumbbl. I really have never had problems with the BBLE.

Not dismissing fumbbl, but the BBLE has a lot going for it, too. My only complaint with fumbble is the complicated system to get a game. Chat clients, passwords, etc. - not exactly smooth.

Not a prob, I can take it. ;)

I try the grid too and it isn't as clear as FUMBBL. Dark, overly detailed, etc. However, I do like the grid better than viewing at the 3/4 back angle that is common on BB:LE.

There also seems to be an occasional delay in processing on BB:LE - I click a guy, it heistates, I click again and suddenly I'm dodging into two tacklezones instead of hitting a guy like I wanted earlier. This is most likely my incompetance with mouse controls but I have not had that difficulty with FUMBBL.

I DO like BB:LE, just need to get back into it this summer.

So I was inspired by the last podcast to give FUMBBLE a try. I had set up a team long ago, but was stymied trying to figure out how to get a game, and forgot about the whole thing.

Today I gave it another go, figured everything out, and had my first experience driving my 980k Chaos Dwarves against a 110k Nurgle team.

I lost 0-2, was outcasualtied zero to SEVEN, including two miss next game dwarfs, a move bust on a dwarf, a dead hobgoblin, and a dead bullcentaur. My team is now 670k, and will likely be the underdog against even Halfling teams. For me efforts I got zero SPP, and 20k in gold.

Long story short: Chance, I hate you
