It's all a learning process, but I do think the show is made better by listener involvement and discussion. I know the guys take the comments and emails seriously and it helps them a great deal.

So, my suggestion - email them at threedieblock@gmail.com and let them know your ideas, including ideas on specific teams and strategies. It helps make a better show and builds the sense of community. After all, it is YOUR blood bowl podcast!

C'mon Chance, you know it makes sense.

and I think we'll have to see what we can do with Paulie's rank, to make it special like yours...

Bert wrote:Heh, I like how the rookie mistakes have made for more podcasts. The differences between the 1.0 to 2.0 episodes is pretty massive. Shows how much you guys have learned from playing. I'm voting for Darkelves so Chance can atone for his sins. It was the only time "EVER" I yelled at my ipod :pissed:
I'm just thrilled that is the only one of my numerous blunders that made you yell. ;)

If I'm going to get a new rank every few days (LOVE it by the way!) I think Multi-Block Assassin should be in there. Or No Good Doubles Skill Assassin. :D

That, to me, was not as bad as me forgetting HMP on the Gobbo Bomber...and I'm a Goblin coach!

No. High Elves, Pro Elves and then Wood Elves. Chance's brain will explode. ;)

Heh, HMP on the bomber is a nice one. Had it in league and its more effective than people think. The one thing thats kinda reliable on gobs. Nice dropping bombs on the ballcarrier every turn :D

Just a note to folks - the next ep will be a bit late, maybe up to a week. We had a heck of a time arranging the schedules of the two coaches plus us casters. We are meeting tonight for some preproduction and Sunday to actually record the big game but it will not be done by Monday.

Thanks for your patience and I hope the show - CHG Blood Bowl X! - will be worth it!

Also, your shownotes for the Tier Roundtable episode states that Tom Anders' pseudonym is "gaelicstarscraper"... did I miss something or did Impact! outsource to Ireland?

How about a special 'Elf' podcast? High, Pro, Wood and Dark Elves all in the one show. C'mon Chance! Think you could handle it?

(On the plus side it would get all the namby pamby, pointy-ears out of the way in one go!)

You could probably combine Pro and High Elves in one segment.

I think the "mistakes" are part what has made Three Die Block work. There seem to an awful lot of newcomers coming into Blood Bowl and I think a podcast that has episodes where the hosts were (are) finding their feet can only help those players. Moreover, one of the great strengths (in my opinion) of the Blood Bowl community is that despite the fact there are a lot of grizzled veterans, Blood Bowl players tend to be very welcoming and forgiving of mistakes.

The most important thing is that the podcast is entertaining, which it is. Part of the entertainment comes from disagreements - if every two weeks I tuned in only to nod my head sagely I'm not sure what I'd be getting out of it. Confirmation?

Certainly some teams more than others will benefit from a more informed look the second time round (whereas others need only look at deeper tactics), but that just makes for more shows, which can only be a good thing.

The good thing about 3DB is that it is entertaining and you get more than one persons point of view. The community that supports the podcasts is great and I enjoy listening and getting a few hints.

I think that the teams that need a 2.0 are from the earlier podcasts that got a rough over view 1st time round. The other teams why not get a specialised coach from IBBL to get a better understanding of tactics and how they work.

Can't wait for the CHG BB... well done guys

Tom actually caught us on that immediately. I tried to joke that it themed nicely with Martin's last name and Tom responded, "Sure, Chaence." :) Class act all the way.

betterZthenDeaD, mattslater - Yeah, we could combine all non-Dark Elves in one show as far as I'm concerned. ;) Though I am really looking forward to another crack at the Darkside Cowboys!

Insane_Prophet, 'ummiecoach2010 - Thanks for the compliments! I tend to agree with other shows I like - if the hosts are just having fun and not full of themselves, the errors/mistakes help a show stay grounded and be more fun to listen to. I'm glad listeners seem to enjoy our ideas/antics even though several of them are obviously noobalicious and, shall we say, underinformed. ;) We will NEVER be experts at this game but it is so much fun to play and learn and (hopefully) grow as coaches.

The best part of the show? You guys! Seriously, we have gotten so much feedback, ideas, constructive criticism and overall goodness from listeners that when we call 3DB "your" BB podcast, we MEAN it! Craig is the MasterCaster and you guys fuel the show with your energy and ideas while Pauly and I just make noise. ;)

A tiny teaser for CHGBBX - last night's preproduction meeting was very productive, especially in the area of new commercials! Lots of new stuff and possibly the return of an old favorite or two...

Long time listener, first time poster (though I did leave positive feedback on iTunes as requested).

Love your work, guys. You just keep banging out entertaining episode after entertaining episode.

A shout out to Orca Cola wouldn't go amiss though.

We're the biggest Cyanide-based online league, presently in Season 8 and around two years old. We are currently home to approximately 290 coaches. You've advertised UKBBL, so how about us?

Feel free to ask me for further details.

Our forums are here: http://www.orca-cola.com/forum

I'm sure we'd be delighted to have Pauly sign up.
