That's a good option. Another good option is to write on the magnet side of the player some characters to recognize the character (i. e. WD1 for Wardancer nº 1). The characters will not take the whole surface, so the player will not loose the magnet power. Sure the printed not-magnet side does not have any magnet, but when prone you can use the pressure-sensitive adhesive included in the item (theoretically just to to make the Footballs) in order to temporally paste the player to the pitch from the not-magnet side.

I'm now getting some very weird "attack site" warning from Google now when I try to go to comixininos. Anyone else getting this? Anyone else ever have issues with this site? Just curious, as I saw several things I was thinking about getting a couple of day ago.

I'm getting the same thing, I was just thinking it was because I'm computer illiterate and have my settings messed up. :-?

Hi guys, thanks for letting me know.

Our online store was under a hacker attack during this weekend and Monday. Fortunately, we could solve the problem. You can already use both Explorer and Netscape and you will not receive the "attack site" warning. ;)

This is the first time something like that happens to us, since we set up the store around two years ago. If you see anything else strange please let us know.

COMIXININOS NEW ITEMS- July 21th:

PLASTIC GAMING MAT SANABESO v2A - Skulls and Crossed Dugouts

Image

Item link:

http://comixininos.com/catalog/product_ ... anguage=en

Exclusive Plastic Gaming Mat 81 cm long x 59 cm wide made by Sanabeso and ordered by Comixininos. Perfect for playing your favorite Fantasy Football game. Printed in oilcloth, so it’s waterproof and you will be able to easily roll it for a comfortable transportation. The Mat includes 2 Dugouts and several Reference Sections with all the information that you will need during the game.

The squares are 29 mm wide x 29 mm long, so your miniatures will perfectly fit. The item is brand new and never used before. The picture shows the item on sale.

With eroded grass texture, for a more realistic look. With Fantasy Football advertisement (Orca Cola, Bloodweiser, Air Jordell…) behind the End Zones. With Yard counters (each three squares) in order to let you know how close you are to the Touch Down. With 2 printed footballs where players usually throw the kickoff.

The Mat includes 2 Dugouts with their 3 sections: Bench, Unconscious and Dead-Injured. Also includes Re-roll, Turn and Score Counters, two Throw-in templates and two Quick Reference Lists with all the possible results of the Kickoff.

The Dugouts and the Re-roll - Turn Counters are crossed: one on each side of the pitch. That way, both players will have the Dugout on their left side and the Re-roll - Turn Counter on their right side.

There is also a colored Table to establish Ranges when throwing the ball. On the opposite side there is a Weather Table and a Scatter template.

The item will be shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, for a total protection.

I'd be into it if the passing chart and store logo were removed. You could push your logo to one of the "sponsor" slots, I just don't like it on the field.

How do these types of mats rate when compared to felt, in regard to protecting your miniatures?

We really like the passing chart and consider it a necessary for playing the game. Some times the physical rule it's not enough to establish the pass range. With this chart you'll make sure which is the correct range.

Regarding the Comixininos logos, we can understand about that, but they help to promote our Fantasy Football store. More promotion means more sales and therefore better and more Fantasy Football items for all the palyers in the near future.

Also, we can offer custom versions of this pitch for just a 5 EUR fee. You can ask us to take out the Comixininos logos or any other modification you wish. You can also ask us to insert your team's logo in exchange of the skulls. Only requierement: orders must be made in groups of 5 units. Important: these 5 customized pitches can be different from each other, no need they are all the same. :P :P :P

Take into account that there is a lot information and images included on the pitch. Sure, we could have set them up more separetly, but the pitch would end up being larger than necessary. Too big or too wide pitches can be a real handicap, mainly for Tournaments, where you have a limited room for each pitch. Our idea was to include all the needed information to play a game in the minimum room, and we achieved that.
Grumbledook wrote:also best hope GW don't see it, impact had to stop selling theirs iirc
In Comixininos we highly respect the images that belong to GW. None of the images used to make the pitch belong to GW. All of them belong to the digital work of Sanabeso, the manufacturer of the Pitches. Regarding the Skulls, it's a picture taken from a handmade sculpture made by Kart and that belongs to myself. You can see it with a bigger size on the welcome page of our online store website:

I think it is the layout of the pitch that is more of an issue rather than the graphics

and by cohesive I meant that they look like loads of differently designed graphics all put together rather than the size of them

the weather section looks aztec, other parts look like normal stonework etc, the different parts don't look like they were designed to be one set

would be like having an orc team using 1st edition, 2nd ed, 3rd ed platic, 3rd ed metal, warhammer, 40k and other companies figs all on the same team painted with slightly different shades of the same colour

that's what I meant

The point is that we don't really have so many layout options here. The pitch on the middle and all around the pitch the components that we think are necessary to play the game. Which kind of alternative layout would you make? We can can think about offering other versions of the pitch with other layouts.
Grumbledook wrote:by cohesive I meant that they look like loads of differently designed graphics all put together rather than the size of them
Well, take into account that most of the components around the pitch are there not as an ornament, but as a needed reference for playing the game. Maybe they don't look like pretty, but definitely they're useful. Here you have some closer looks of these components:

UP : Passing Chart and Weather Table.

DOWN: Kickoff Table. There are 2 of them on the pitch.

this is a good example, the scatter template could have been done in the same colours and style as the weather chart

same for the turn and reroll markers etc

I like the fact you have put all that and the passing chart on there, kick off table is easy enough to memorise but it is obviously helpful for some people
