Galak in my oppinion you are keeping Blood Bowl scene alive because I personally reckon that this game would be nothing without you (or worse would be in specialist gaming heaven with GorkaMorka and that boat game they had all them years back) because I feel that you probablly care more about Blood Bowl than most of the GW staff do.
So thankyou.
So thankyou.

Chorus:
We built this Bloodbowl, we built this Bloodbowl on Block an' roll
Built this Bloodbowl, we built this bloodbowl on Block an' roll
Say you don't know me, or recognize my face
Say you don't care who goes to G-Dubya's place
Knee deep there with Galak, sinking in your fight
Too many throwaways eating up the night
Ma Coley moves her Snowtroll, listen to him howl, don't you remember
We built this Bloodbowl, we built this Bloodbowl on block an' roll
chorus
Someone's always playing corporation games
Who cares they're always changing corporation names
We just want to post here, someone stole the stage
They call us irresponsible, write us off the page
Ma Coley fouls the gobbo, listen to the Stunty snap, don't you remember
We built this Bloodbowl, we built this Bloodbowl on Block an' roll
chorus
It's just another Sevens, in a tired old street
Well if you got the Halfling, oh, then we just lost his feet
Who counts the rerolls underneath the bar
Who writes the wrecking ball in two wild 'mazons
Don't tell us you need us, 'cause we're just simple fools
Looking for Amorica, coming through your stools
(I'm looking out over that Massive Gate result
Out on a gorgeous sunny Saturday, I've seen that low amount of Orcses)
Don't you remember (remember)
(Here's your tackle zone radio station, in your favorite radio city
The city by the bay, the city that rocks, the city that never sleeps)
Ma Coley kills the Ogre, listen to the final breath, don't you remember
We built this bloodbowl, we built this bloodbowl on Block an' roll
chorus repeats 2x
(We built, we built this Bloodbwol) built this Bloodbowl (we built, we built this Bloodbowl)
(repeats out)

Nice work Manticore.
I imagine that if leagues/tournaments were so inclined they could have that sheet available for download with the LRB5+ and effectively use LRB6 rules.

tom, i mean no offense, but, has it ever crossed your mind to just up and say to jj, "WTF"? i assume the ass is your friend, but really(again, no offense, i have many friends who are ass'es)...how much is enough? does having your name attached to the game(and i give you all the credit in the world for your work) mean this much to you that you can listen to this bs without...i don't know, saying something?

Re: LRB 6.0 approved by Jervis (sorta)
Actually the actions of the last 3 weeks did make me fire off an email to JJ ... but it wasn't directed at him ... more a shot at GW in general.
My C&D letter covered 4 different websites that I own ... 2 of which are entirely fan based non-revenue generating sites.
For that I did ask what was up.
I just did an interview for the next episode of Tackle Zone Radio where I think I rambled on more than I should have but at one point I told the story of me joining the BBRC and me taking over LRB 5.0. Those were both big deal moments in the history of Blood Bowl and I say that without any ego at all.
When I joined the BBRC was right after LRB 3.0 had been completed. Jervis came to the BBRC on March 01, 2004 at 9:07 AM and unveiled his plan to completely redo Blood Bowl. I was horrified ... and I was quite loud about how horrified I was in my emails to Jervis. Jervis references the tone of my emails at that time in his Designer Notes in the LRB 5.0 and 6.0 where it says "intially horrified by what he saw - we knocked heads quite a few times in those early days!" At one point I got it Jervis' face so much about what he was trying to do that he responded to me with an email that basically said: "I am the creator of this game ... its my game ... don't forget this. Now I'm going to redo this game regardless of your opinion on that and you can either help or leave." That was a rough two days ... but at the end of it ... I made the decision that I loved the game too much to not try and steer it away from the direction that it seemed to be headed. So I didn't leave the BBRC because I wanted to stay for the good of the game. If you've never seen that very first draft of LRB 5.0 ... someone day you have to read it ... its a long way away from where the game ended up.
Roll the clock forward to August 2005. We are now 1 years into the process of creating LRB 5.0 and while a lot has been done ... there is a lot left to do. Jervis comes over for GenCon in the USA and I have him over to my house for dinner along with Jim Lanier. Jervis over dinner tells me that due to issues at GW he can no longer be involved with the LRB 5.0 process and wants to know if I'll completely take over the process with Doubleskulls. He says he totally trusts the two of us and whatever we want to do (inside some of his absolute rules (like no deleting an entire team)) was okay with him. I say okay. Ian however had just moved to Australia and had a new baby and after about 3 months he tells Jervis he cannot be part of the team. At that point Jervis emails me and says ... "I'm happy with what we have now ... if you want to call it good .... we'll just take what we have and make that LRB 5.0. If you still feel there is work to be done ... you'll need to do it all by yourself and I trust you to make whatever changes you want." He went on to warn me that by being the sole person in charge I was going to take a LOT of abuse and should really consider that before saying yes. I really had to think about if I wanted that pressure ... make the wrong decisions and I screw up the game. I emailed JJ back and said ... "its not done yet ... I'll take the responsiblity to finish the LRB 5.0". A lot happened over that next year ... the Norse rewrite being one of the biggest that I did with that "power". However ... I did make mistakes. I destroyed the Halfling team and one of the reasons I've been telling Jervis the last 18 months that there HAS to be a LRB 6.0 is because I made bad choices with regards to the Haflling team because I was so afraid of showing my favourite team favoritism in LRB 5.0 that I was too rough on them and made them dang near unplayable. Again ... I took on this role because I knew the game needed me to do it.
Similarly right now ... I'm not bombarding JJ with emails because while it might make me feel better ... its not for the good of the game. The last 5 years I've been constantly checking my full thoughts because I felt this game needed someone constant to be involved with the community and the rules committee. I've been glad that Doubleskulls life settled down so that he could get back online and be involved with the community as well. He has been an invaluable help over at the Cyanide forums keeping them in official line.
Bottom line ... while I might have thought the things that Xtreme said in the Zlurpcast here and there over the last 5 years ... it was never for the good of the game for me to say them. Including now. LRB 6.0 has to get up for this mission to be over. Until then ... it doesn't do the game any good for me to go off unhinged at what is happening. I do look forward to LRB 6.0 being posted and us entering into a dead zone for rule changes for 5 to 11 years. But we aren't there yet ... no one looks forward to GW posting LRB 6.0 than me and I'm not going to do anything to screw that up if I can avoid it.
