I don't think such a skilled WE team would be as tough to beat as a more traditionally skilled one.

I'll pay this weekend, if / when I remember. ;)

still going to be +ST +AG wardancers on a team

In fact it looks to be exactly the same as last year.
Hi Grum, sorry you don't like this year's rulespack. I tried to make improvements based on people's feedback (increased cost of St and Ag, reduced cost mutations, tweaked points for winning etc) ...but I guess inevitably you can't please everyone. Nevertheless I hope the skills structure will encourage unusual configurations while still offering people the flexibilty to create a team they enjoy using.

Still hope you'll give some consideration to attending, as it would be great to have as many of last year's competitors back as possible, as well as new blood, obviously!

Thanks to all payers so far, much appreciated!

I went last year and played two such teams. I was(am) considering going again but I was under the impression this was going to be changed.

Disappointed that you even asked that to be honest.

I think 10 points is spot on for +Strength. I think wardancers are about the only players you’ll see it on at that cost. If I played against woodies in this skill set I’d much rather they had +ST +AG and 3 points on something else than frenzy, strip ball and 12 points on making a decent team.

That being said if I did take woodies (I’m not) I would take the +ST, but not the AG, but I can see arguments for the other way round and for taking neither or both, which is what makes the costing correct, it requires decision as opposed to being a no-brainer.

The rules set is largely irrelevant anyway, team paincake will smash you regardless.

I've used bash teams the last couple of tournaments I’ve been to and really enjoyed them.

Someone else can use woodies. It doesn’t take much experience to turn the key in the back of a wardancer and shout go.

To win consistently with woodies though you need to be able to elf stall, and for that you need to know what you're doing.

I think the rulespack is pretty damn good, +ST and +AG are far from no-brainers. I'm tempted by a +AG GR, but it's not an straightforward choice. Good work.

Great ruleset Nippy, obviously its never going to be perfect but I think it looks pretty interesting.
