Since I much prefer playing games on terrain I have made myself I decided to have a crack at some blood bowl tables. NB I made my first BB table in 1990 so it has almost between 20 years since I tried again.

this is my first attempt at the new blood bowl tables. MDF with holes drilled out for the square markers. Need to relook at the turn, reroll and score markers + dugouts.

This is my first fully fledged table with all the bells and whistles and is the home ground for my Norse team. I like it that you can through the dice against the wall of the ground. Thanks to spOn for the advertising.

The ground is flock matting pasted onto masonite sheeting.

this was the 2nd pitch made but the last converted into a stadium. The home ground of my still to be painted Slann. The pitch was made of MDF into which i cut the squares with a power saw. Parts of the pitch were routed away and once everything was textured, the lower lying areas where filled with epoxy resin to give the water finish.

looking to make a couple more so it anyone has some ideas or feedback, pass it on.

What did you use for the area around the second pitch? I am planning on making myself a pitch in the near future and was debating using pink insulation and mdf.

Very nice indeed. But could you give us closer pics of the pitch of that Slann stadium? It looks great.

I used 19mm thick dressed pine 42mm and 96mm width for the surrounds. Next time around I will probably use 12mm since it is lighter. However it is what I had lying around at the time. The base is grass matting stuck to 3 mm masonite which slides nicely into the groves cut into the side. The table is sold solid so it is not going to damage easily and will take a lot of abuse. in regard. If you can get hold of 12mm MDF sheeting (say an old packing sheet you can get cheap) then I would use this instead of the pine. It will be cheaper and probably the same weight. Using Pink Foam is fine but where I live is more expensive than wood and Blue!

casting a mold with glass clear polyester resin with a dash of blue pigment for an ice based field.

Love the table

The sides look like they might fold up so you could use the table as an actual table; is that just an illusion or does it really do that?

the sides are fixed, however having them fold is a great idea. using hinges instead of ripping the angle would be easier as well. thanks for the idea I will look to use it on my next pitch.

I'm not a 100% certain but I think you would still need to rip angles, you just may have to space the boards apart so the hinges would work. If you end up doing this, could you post a picture please?
