New bloodbowl pitch, not mine auction

Post by Magictobe »

There is a new bloodbowl pitch on ebay.

Cost price £ 1000.

Looks nice but looks a bit pricy IMHO.

That looks to be a service, not an actual pitch - his commitment is to make each pitch brand new, to spec in "about 2 months"

I wouldn't pay it, but then I think $100 for painting a team is an investment too far - I'm struggling with the concept of £20 to replace my (lost) paints as it is!

1000 pounds, not bad for some time to build all tht stuff, or better, comission to build this.

So this baby might be nice to have, but building your own stadium isnt that difficult. I for myself startet it 6 times the last 12 years.

It's nice, but not worth £1000 imo.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Too true about the price. Great looking pitch though.

wow for £1k I was expecting something much nicer than that

the adverts look really poor
the crowd are on normal square bases
the stands don't look of quality (the beer one for instance, I'd expect it made up of planks and not look like it is floating one the ground)

I'd expect a much higher standard of finish for that price, it isn't terrible but I can't see someone paying a grand for it

Have to agree with Grum (wow, second time today, this is getting scary) :D , I'd expect a proffesional finish to everything for that price (not that I'd pay it). That kind of "quality" can easily be achieved by practically anybody who decides to build their own pitch.

I agree as well, the banners and adverts look really lame. the pitch itself looks ok, but for a Grand I would expect to get my moneys worth

I could see someone possibly paying £200 for a stadium like that. Perhaps if they were swimming in cash and had no talent or interest in painting minis.

£1000 though? It would have to be of 'Eavy Metal standard for that kind of cash.

Meh! I agree with the others...nice pitch but not the standard you'd expect for a £1000 price tag.

I would expect that any half decent gaming enthusiast could achieve that standard or higher without too much effort.

Remind me to post up some of my failed attempts sometime

For £1000, I feel myself wanting it to brew coffee as well. Imagine having to explain that price to the missus...

I concur with the majority: Not worth the cash.

It had a lot of neat extras, but they weren't finished that well.

No bidders yet, how could this be possible ????

Again this is no bump for an auction of mine. I have no percentage on this field ;-)

I just found his video about the stadium on Youtube, it's 5:21 minutes long
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xazCeMOlJcw

I'm sure after seeing all of it; you will buy it. :D

If he hadn't made all walls out of cardboard, but rather made them 0.5 - 1 inch thick, it would look a lot more convincing/good. Right now the walls look like they have been made from one layer of cardboard (Strange, huh?)

There are 80-100 fans in the stands, it should be worth something.

I'm still not sure if it's worth a grand though :-?
