Blood Bowl figures in London

Post by Kalrat »

Hi,

I'm going to visit London shortly.

I tried to check Games Workshop pages for Blood Bowl figure shop, but there are so many shops and none of them says in web pages if they sell Blood Bowl figures or not.

So could someone help me and tell witch shops in London has best/good selection of figures suitable for BB (without major convert need)?

I'm mainly looking for Ogres, star player and maybe some ad-hock purchasing ;-)

Thanks in advance!

Not sure specifically about London shops, but a lot of GW shops don't stock BB figures anymore - too much stock and not enough wall space - every time i've wanted to buy something i've had to mail-order it in and have it deliivered (free delvery to the store but that doesn't help you)

Maybe some independants might have some, but you'd have to find a local for that info.

it's abit out of london but the guy in caliver books has some old school paint figures, man;y 2ed skaven humans and dwarf. But when i brought a couple of him he wanted a really high price and i had to haggle. I think he thinks that if there is paint on them, then they are painted! So haggle.

They are in southend.

That's the problem with Blood Bowl models - GW haven't stocked them in stores for years now so the only way to get them is through mail ordering them. You can't even get them if you go to Warhammer World...

It might be worth popping into Orcs Nest to see if they have anything in store. It's been decades since I've been there though...

The official GW stores in Plaza (Oxford Street) and Covent Garden do not sell BB minis.

Thanks for the info, saved me the time of walking around. This is exactly the reason why I asked, I haven't seen these minis even I have visited quite many official and unofficial shops (Copenhagen, Athens, Helsinki, Sydney...). This time I thought to find some information beforehands :-)

I think I'll just drop by to some shop to see if there are some other minis that could be easily converted, maybe in the Orcs Nest.

In Sydney there was one shop (Tin Soldier) that had several teams in store. It was also shop that I can recommend for other games as well (they have now also napoleons military bookstore in same premises, excellent for wargamers). I was just lucky to find this shop when walking around. Unfortunately it's just little bit too far to visit every now and then

You can probably call mail order and pick them up in an official store w/o paying postage.
