Good, glad they got there. Next time around IF I do another Pot-Plant sculpt I will reconcider the leafs. They cause no end of problems with the casting due to a 360 degree under-cutting issue. All but impossible to get all the air out.

@ Pug

These are the first Resin Models that I have put together.

I've started painting them up but wanted to know, is it ok to use standard Matt Varnish on Resin?

The resin is a Poly-Urethane. Dependant on the make up of the varnish it may or may not effect the resin.

The standard GW varnishes will not effect it.

I do not no the results for Cellulose based varnishes or paints (Older style )

I have used cheap black car spray straight onto them as a base coat with no effect.

Cleaning wise, I did not use a mould release agent when casting so there is no need for pre-painting cleaning. Simple washing up liquid and a clean rinse of water would be all that was needed if I did.

Im off to give my fingers a bath in hydrochloric acid and whack them with a hammer. I should be able to get all the resin off by christmas!!

I will re-open the Pot-Plant list soon. Maybe a fortnight or so. Need to get back to the other projects for BB!

Don't worry. I'll post a picture later of the pile of miscasts that I have.

Air bubbles mostly, major headaches they were. A bit of patience and green stuff and I'll have 20+ pot plants to do something with. What that is , is still a complete mystery!!
