Not at the ARBBL - neither of the crap experimental rosters will be used here, even when we change the rest of the rules to LRB6 (league or tournament).duttydave wrote:LRB5 and possibly Khemri's last hurrah before the Rules Review sees them dry up and blow away in the warm desert windsGalakStarscraper wrote:Just curious. What rules for the Khemri were being used when they won ARBBL.
Thanks.

Even if it means they continue to win your event?Darkson wrote:Not at the ARBBL - neither of the crap experimental rosters will be used here, even when we change the rest of the rules to LRB6 (league or tournament).
I'm curious if they win again next year how many grumbles you'd get about the ARBBL allowing that "broken" roster to be used.
Might not happen ... but I could easily see it occuring if they win next year.
Its your event Simon and you know I'm a big fan of folks running things their own way. I just know human nature to bitch in situations like this. Its a lot easier to blame a "broken roster" than the fact that one just got outplayed by a better coach.

3rd event, 3rd different race to win it (after Necro and Chaos Dwarf), all using the same rules.GalakStarscraper wrote:I'm curious if they win again next year how many grumbles you'd get about the ARBBL allowing that "broken" roster to be used.

Khemri havent exactly dominated the tournament scene before... I doubt them winning exactly one year in a row is a cause for concern.

Plus when talking in the pub on Saturday night, no-one seemed interested in taking either of the 2 experimental rosters to tournaments anyway.

Looks to me like it was a combination of factors - a very good coach, a pretty decent draw (3 matches vs. Norse, 1 vs. High Elves, 1 vs. Pact) and more than likely a bit of luck at the right time.
As Silly Sod says, Khemri winning a tournament is a pretty exceptional circumstance, and by no means is it the continuation of a trend or further evidence of them being 'broke'.

Somewhat ironic as it is moaning about the roster that has got it changed (despite it not being overpowered).GalakStarscraper wrote:Even if it means they continue to win your event?Darkson wrote:Not at the ARBBL - neither of the crap experimental rosters will be used here, even when we change the rest of the rules to LRB6 (league or tournament).
