As the England team is set and will probably not change for a few years, just wondering what the rules are on qualifying for a country, as my grandad on my dads side is scottish...

...but I live in England.

Just to put you right there, the team isn't set as such at all. This year the team will be chosen as objectively as possible based on results/rankings/placings/consistency etc. IMO this is the fairest way to pick a team.

Tpalhares, Eurobowl is not the WC, at all. I remember that in the WC Portugal was represented by 2/3 portuguese coaches and 3/4 foreigners. At Eurobowl, you can get 2 freebotters, but the other 6 coaches must be from Portugal (not be Luso-descendent's that play the WC with Portugal) :wink:

It's 1 or 2 freebotters, we've talked after that post, and we've decided 2 freebotters per team because we think that's easier to come for Portugal and Scotland, and it's better for the tournament.

This year is a bad year for freebotters, I think that Portugal and Scotland are the teams that probably will need someone, but the rest of the teams will be complete with players of their nation

Since Eurobowl I it always has been maximum 2 freeboters per nation. Did you changed the rule or was it a typo? :)
But this rule was broken at last Eurobowl when the Scottish team was allowed to play with 4 italians and 1 spanish in his files (Toppomuschiato, Treno, Margot, Psycho and Grotuk).

What Kewan wanted to say it's that we don't want to let it happen again. Therefore, 2 maximum freeboters per nation.
Found this, but it was on page 2 - could the opening post be changed as new info is needed, closing dates etc.
