I think Galak is thinking of doing the printing for people who have designed their own boards for their gaming groups, personal use etc.

He's not interested in somebody like me or mrbrownesquire designing any to sell in the store as that would attract unwanted attention.
He's offering printing services, not sales.

I'll be doing something on my own but it will probably not be advertised here as GW Trolls snoop around here.

I'll probably be selling to those I know or those someone I know can vouch for.

But I'll let you know.

Dark Lord.....Have you given anymore thought as to what sort of pitches you want to design? I think it would be nice to see some custom designs made that didn't look like they were built for orks or dwarves, perhaps something designed with Dark Elves in mind.

Just a thought.

Having Galak making the printing possible for gaming groups/individuals would be great. Nice to see someone once again filling in for GW's lack of customer attention.

I figure (but not sure yet) I'll do one pitch that is astrogranite (c) but has a weather track, turn counters, rerolls etc. (With no logo it will be easy to fill in the space.)

And maybe at the same time, or shortly after offer an evil version. Like the first one would be light grey stone, a few skulls but not really nasty ones and some green grass growing in cracks. The "evil" version would be darker, dirty and bloodier stone with nasty thorn bushes growing in the cracks and lots of evil skulls. I was also thinking of doing the lines on the pitch in blood.

Edit: By the way, at the present time I am unemployed and moving to a new state...this isn't gonna be anywhere near production for 6 months at least. The good news is that shortly after we move we are temporarily staying with my mother in law's house that she is selling (thank god it's not with her!) and I don't know what sort of net access I'll have. So while I look for a job and wait on finding a permanent place to live I will have lots of time for Photoshop and sculpting the Beholder Referee for Impact.

After seeing the work you did on the Elfball board, I'm looking forward to seeing how these ideas turn out, and I like the idea of the weather track being added.

In a couple weeks I'll post an image of the World Cup board. THAT should honestly be the standard for all upcoming game boards. It had the templates, weather, score and fame all built into the board design.

I'm just waiting to get back the quote from the printing service. But it is looking like I'll be able to offer custom printing of images that are supplied to me onto gaming board from around $50 to $60 a board. Could be less even ... just don't know where the final quote will come in.

The printing would be vinyl on chipboard ... which would not be the same as our Street Brawl or Elfball boards which are paper on chipboard.

If you are at the World Cup ... check out those boards ... that what I am looking at offering to be able to make (something along those lines).

I cannot sell boards in our store .... that's would be just an automatic wrong. But do plan on offering up a printing service for folks with their own images.

That could make life interesting. For those of us that do not have the software and/or talent to make our own images maybe we can buy an image and then have you print it. DL? Mr.BrownEsquire?

I know Brownie has said he didn't want to give away his high quality images and I understand that, but if I can buy the image and have Impact! print it. I might even be able to get one of them to make a small change in it to get the board I want. The one you're talking about for the NAF World Cup, with all the extras on the board, sounds great. Now if I can get a board like that with my Wolf-Moon logo in the middle I'm set. I't's my home field after all.

Great service Galak. My brain's running over time thinking about it. Especially as my BB board is starting to show some wear.

I would be in the same boat as i am crap with computers and i would have no idea on how to send you a image or print of what i want. I could say a astrogranite pitch with a weather/re-reolls/score and a logo and then hope you do the rest but other than that someone would have to show me what to do

I will watch this space and hope for the best.

Your best bet would be to work with someone like DL for an image to us ... or maybe get something off Lord of Boards for us. If this project is a good ... I'll post the image requirements I need.
