Forgive me if I don't trust my government to recognize and reward the fair and true value of, say, a Blood Bowl rulebook -- especially not before it's been made available to others!Vomit Lickspittle wrote:Intellectual property in the West is a mess and leads to delighted lawyers and frustrated creators.... In the West you can hold IP, sometimes, past your death (Estate) and it has to be protected....
In old China, you came to the govt and they gave you a value on your product/process... if you didn't accept, then you sat on the invention... if you did... that was your pay and the invention became public domain....
P'O'd my college teacher when I promoted East over West in my research paper....
Oh, well, we're stuck with it....

*shrug*, today's gov'ts are primarily lawyers (or uses lotsa lawyers) and I doubt the current reality is gonna change in your lifetime... therefore the statement (and this response) are inconsequential.... *shrug*

I just reported another one of his auctions.
Look at this. Make sure to read his "Top 10" list of things winning this auction gives you access to.

That's the stuff that bothers me, honestly. I mean, to hell with Grandma Wendy but stealing an artist's work is low.Rustycan wrote:Well the first item mentioned in this post has been removed. Wonder how long till the warhammer artwork one goes bye bye.
Yeah, I know GW owns the work and not the artists, and they probably paid those painters jack-squat for their work but as an artist, I think it sucks.
