question about Virtual Alchemist

10th of february 2004 I ordered some minis from his online shop and paid the order by PAYPAL. Until now, after more than 6 weeks, i didnt get the order and no confirmations or answers after sending 4 different emails to different email adresses of VA.

Someone told me at NAF, that the owner is sometimes ill for daysor weeks and a friend will take over his business. Ok, thats the reason i was quite patient... until now.

I was told VA is ok, but now i want my money back !

Anyone knew something about the owner of Virtual Alchemist ? What happend to him ? Whats wrong ? Anything... ? Any informations ?

I told you that James Humphries (the owner) tends to get ill from time to time.
At home I have his private/direct email, maybe you should give it a last try and talk to him directly if that email address is genuine to the rest you used... (??) I'll dig it out tonight.

James had a liver transplant and its not unusually for him to have 1 to 2 minor heart attacks each year.

I've got his home phone number as I talk to him as a friend, but I've had a lot of trouble getting hold of him for the last 6 months.

I had ordered about $200 worth of minis from him about 2 months ago as well. If he's not really prompt, something's wrong. He's bought minis from me in the past so I have one of his more private email addresses. I wrote him directly and he apologized and refunded my money. Write me if you'd like the email addresses I have for him.

I had no intention to sound offensive or without respect. I knew about his liver transplant but didn't want to post that info in the public (Just as an explanation if some of you think that my words were too cheeky)

well, a update about my VA story ...

Yesterday (!) i got a shippment from VA. It was send 20th (!) of march this year. Just three minis and no comment or letter or anything else... and i didnt get a answer for my emails.

OK, i ordered und paid for 3 minis , 2 rokkers and a old warhammer ogre to be exact.

This is what i got:

Now i got all three different rokkers, which is nice. BUT... as collector i would expect quality from this kind of seller. As you can see, one of the minis dont have a tag and one of the mini is a white metall recast ! And this, as you can expect, not a real good one. Each of this rokkers cost 12 $US ... old cast or new cast. But i paid 20 $US for a Executioneer Ogre ... and got a rokker without tag... worth 12 $US ?

I´m sorry to have to say, thats not the service i expected from a famous and well known mini seller. Maybe this deal is a exeption. So I will write another mail to VA to get more informations about this deal... and at last a refund of 8$US.
