I agree 100% with the above statement as well as for my vision of what I want from the game.

Add TR +50 and I also agree, and these little "disagreements" should be easily resolved by each league commissioner tweaking the winnings chart and or FF chart IMO

would be nice to have such options...

pub league
rookie league
standard league
superleague

each with different winnings anf or FF charts and special rules

standard leagues - I agree with the above

Something like that was tried in 4th edition and since the "super" league was label Monty Haul .... it went over like a lead ballon.

Monty Hall was a game show host in usa, long time ago, gave lots of very cool/expensive prizes. Transformed to Monty Haul for describing D&D games where players could kill relatively wimpy monsters but get major loot.

And surely a coach should be able to keep a team ongoing for as long as they want. Man Utd only for 9 games! Come on I want to play the same team because I thought a long while about the name and colours and history of it.

DD, yes, I want to as well, but even after a while, players need to retire, new, rookie players need to come in, and the end result is a net TR of a certen level. This happens even in real life.

Agree my friend, I've been a long time advocate of a max TR, maybe I missed the point. I'm assuming that changing teams means changing names etc?

That's what i meant by "sputter and die". I think that in today's Blood bowl teams take much more than 9 games to get past a TR of 250. (Honestly I think we already have a system pretty close to what I described.)

9 games to 250! I agree, that seems pretty rapid development.

Galak, my TT Orcs have a FF of 15; would have been 16 but I only got one Cas in my last game... TR 216 after 16 games. :P

Anything I say is totally opinion and (knowing my luck) probably completely wrong. Keep this in mind.

If the fumbbl statistics are to be believed, the after 9 game most teams have just crested 150 TR.

After 12 games 168
After 14 games 175
After 16 games 182
After 18 games 188
After 20 games 194
After 22 games 195
After 24 games 205
After 26 games 208
After 28 games 215
After 30 games 222...

Seeing a pattern yet?

What is wrong with that?
I think 40 or 50 games to retirement is fine.

Another thing that I think the BBRC has a huge problem seeing is the difference between a league of 50 or 60 teams and a league of 12 teams.
FUMBBL is not an accurate representative of a normal table top league and neither is the MBBL.

whats your point about the small leagues dark lord, i know they are different entities

your comment about 40-50 games to retirement is fine confuses me

are you saying teams shouldn't play past this point?

what if you want to carry on playing the team for ever, thats certainly what i plan to do with my teams

or have i misunderstood your post?

Yeah I do John ... and I think it convenient that you choose to stop showing your stats just before the vast majority of FUMBBL teams STALL OUT at TR 250. Statistics lie if used to show what you want my friend.
