I must say I'm a bit surprised to see Dwarves right up there - and it looks like the only Chaos coach had a good tournament too. Lizards doing so badly is odd too.

Once again its shown that the new Elves suck at tournaments

1) Dwarfs will generally only be played at tournaments by people who really know how to handle them. They'll not appeal to a more casual player because they ain't flashy like elves or Skaven.
2) Dwarfs are a damn good tournament team in a minimal-stars environment.
3) The figures are slightly skewed away from undead. I think there were at least two top-ten finishers who played Undead but were not NAF (Andy Hewitt and Will Livingstone...the two guys who've done me over the last couple of years!...2nd and 7th in the GW rankings, W9 D3 L0 for the two of them.)

Oh for pete's sake

Dwarfs. Bloodbowl can't be played any simpler can it?

Pick up the ball and throw lots of 2-die blocks with all those guys with block. Oh that's riskey blood bowl  Living on a knife edge with all those chancy dice rolls!

So I'm a bit biased....

Fact is though, the Dwarf roster is hardly one that is going to inspire a newbie to play them barring a previous connectiopn to the race (ie they play them in WFB) or love the figs. Now, the Skaven and Wood Elf rosters say "look how fast I can move! Look at me doing stuff on a 2+! Look at me scoring lots!". I think the weaknesses of those rosters are more easily overlooked.

Dwarfs? simple?

I have no idea how to handle them, but I'm still going to play them in a tournament.

Unfortunately I have to play Draco's dark elves before my first cup match. Hopefully the block skill saves them.

I think dwarfs are not diffucult to play in a non stars tournament. By game 6 all that guard and block and thick skull will make them a grinding machine.

I played dwarfs to a draw and my god I didnt deserve it. With only 1 man with guard I got away lightly. I had a hard enough time against a good coach with only 1 guard. 5 skills in and the cage is perfectec whereas orc players etc will be giving BO block and getting a dirty player, the dwarfs with be able to counter with lotsa guard AND block. Owch

Not supprised about the undead though. They seemed to thrive in the tournament. I think it is a competitiom where the bashing teams thrive...

How come many of the figures are not divisible by 6? Surely each team played 6 games, except perhaps those of Del & Woody (;)) but neither of them took elves...?

Hey, I was doing my best :P

I have never used Goblins before, and I still managed two respectable wins, and noone can argue with my 14 casulties...it's the most I have caused in any tournament ever, regardless of race... :D
