The BB Quiz...

Hi, I was wondering if any of you experienced tournament players could give me any idea of what kind of things I ought to expect from the 'exam' at the tournament? Have any of you had to do similar things in the past? For example, do I really need to read up on who won the various bloodbowl trophies etc or do I just need to know the speed of skinks...

My (limited) experience of quizzes include:

Galak's 'Super hard' GenCon quiz which I had a go at pre-tourney via email..think I got 5 out of 10.

Rendez-vous: Yohan asking eventual winner Zy-nox the name of the Chaos All-Stars minotaur (the answer being 'Zy-nox') after I'd unwisely gone with the audience vote (led by the Mannheim contingent!!).

Team Cheater in the pub quiz at the BB last year..(Indigo, Thadrin, hang your heads in shame. :P ).

The guy at the same event who's captured on video actually unfolding a board right under Andy H's nose and counting the squares with his finger to find out the dimensions (why couldn't I play anybody from that particular team of experts?)..lol... ..a classic moment!

So basically...I haven't got a clue... :-?

Wasn't us boss. We ARE that nerdy. Blame the ECBBL boys who made up the rest of the team...

The pub quiz at the DB where they asked questions and whoever answered 1st got the prize... because the questions where in English Paul, Geoff & I did pretty well.

However this is a written "closed book" test I think. I expect most of the questions will be quite easy (no what's 62 on the serious injury table).

I think it WILL be things like "what's 62 on the injury table" - last year's quiz had a "what's 66 on the handicap table" question...

To which the answer is "buzzing" and it was TBL who got that one...

wondered if I was the only one who remembered that :)

Blimey.... Number 66 on the handicap table! There's a handicap table! :o I'd better get swotting up then. I'd really like to lose the tournament because I'm not very good at the game rather than because my memory isn't up to scratch.

As I understand it the main prizes won't be effected - its just the overall rankings.

So if you go and win the final you'll still be BB champ regardless of quiz etc.

So no naf membership for me until I can get some impressive knowledge of the game?

I think this needs some clarification...

There are two main awards to win on the day. The first is the Blood Bowl trophy itself, and whoever gets the most points from games alone (i.e. no painting etc.) will win this. The second trophy is the Warhammer World trophy and is given to the player with the best overall score after game results, painting, sportsmanship etc. are factored in.

These have nothing at all to do with the NAF ranking, which is totally seperate. Only your game results will affect your NAF ranking, so if you have a good tourney but don't win then chances are your NAF ranking would be pretty good too.
