[quote="Geggster"]Who the hell had Griff, Zug, Luthor and a rookie Ogre? That's just total cheese IMO.
[quote]

I had to play him - his ogre had piling on, and a lineman had dirty player. Since we both had zug they cancelled out, but I was f**ked from the word go when he won the "get the ref" on the first kick off.

that game was no fun at all, only one like it during the whole weekend

Oh foolish Dwarven pride....
Yeah. True. (Incidentally, it was him that fell off the wagon first... :) )
TBH I'm getting a bit bored of dwarfs and want to try something new. Probably be back on the dwarfs by the time the next BB rolls around, if only to prove you wrong!

firebreather wrote:id be interested to know how many used rookie teams, its had been years since id played around star players i forgot how good they were, if star players are in it next year then i wont be. Made a few of my games really dull
Well, all the Norse and Amazon teams were rookies
I took a rookie Skaven team, and I know there were a few more like mine with no SP's, and Evil Git had a halfling team with 2 rookie treemen.

I'd like to take Norse next year, but if the Star Players are still in it'll be humans or Orcs.

managed to come in at 156 after an awful second day with a lack of defence. Played the griff, count, zug, ogre team with my rookie humans and produced my only win! Thinking of undead next. A bit stronger

132nd.

Got whitewashed on the Saturday losing all three games with my 'zons - first to a good opponent playing with a rampaging Morg, second to a pitch invasion (6 players, 4 went off!) at the start, and the third due to mental depression at losing the first two :D

Started Sunday, next to the last table and beat some Elves 3-0..a win!!!
Drew my fifth, due to inability to roll 3 or more on four consecutive dice in the last two turns to pick up the ball and score (I tended to roll worse dice with my rerolls) and won my final game 3-0 again.

TEACHER'S REPORT : Prone to lack of concentration and could do much better if he applied himself.

Came in 93rd (just under longshot, who I drew with in the last game - which was also the most fun).

I probably shouldn't admit it, but my two wins were against Halflings and Goblins.

Great weekend, though.
