Many thanks :)
Yes and no.

Generally it's not a problem, unless there are bylaws in the town that prevent it (for example in my home town the bylaws say you cant sleep in your car in a car park, but on the side of the road is not a problem).

As for doing it at the venue, they might say something about it and may call the police to move you on. If you kick up a stink a vagrancy/disturbing the peace charge could be levelled at you and you spend the night in a cell.
Worst case scenario there.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Also worth bearing in mind that you wont be able to drink if you sleep in your car as drink driving laws can apply if you are in a car in possession of the keys.

Get around that by leaving the keys with another person.

Or, story from my youth....
Friend of mine decided to sleep it off in his car. He crawled into the back, in a sleeping bag, and went to sleep. Was woken up by police knocking on his window, was breathalysed and arrested.
He defended the charge in court by asking the arresting officer to read from his notebook which clearly stated he was in a sleeping bag, in the back of the car, and therefore very unlikely to be driving anywhere.
Judge dismissed the case.

Fringe case and I would not risk it at all.

Probably better to just get a B&B <--Booking.com linky

There's a lot of parking around the venue and hotel, so I don't think that would be your issue. The legalities others have mentioned might mean you could be at risk though.

Should be easy enough to find someone willing to split a room, or get yourself a cheap Airbnb nearby.

There's a decent tram network around Nottingham, used it this year to head in and out each day from a friend's place.

True story from my caseload back in the day. Guy asleep in his camper van, in pajamas. in his bed on the roadside. Police came, breathalised him, over the limit, fined and banned. Do not risk it, if you are drunk in a car they can PRESUME that you intend to drive and you have to PROVE that you did not. One of the circumstances where the burden of proof lies with you. Do not try it.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Payment sent for myself and boldfox.

My first NAF Championships - so if I might be permitted a NOOB question.

Roughly what time does play start on the Saturday! Just trying to work out if I need to book one or two nights in the hotel.

Also where it refers to Double Rooms - do we really mean Twin. Again, trying to work out where its possible to share.

For the last 3 years it’s been registration from 830am with a 10am start.

It’s double or twin. Just ask which you want when you book.
