Right...if you're going to be there its probably easiest for me to be there too seeing as I'm now catching a lift up with you...

Drop me a PM to confirm where you're staying and I'll see if I can get in there too. Save a lot of hassle...

Is it just me, or have Borak and Varag become way better choices for Chaos and Orc teams with Big Guys? ;)

Okay......

With a couple of weeks off I have some painting time available. I am thinking of taking norse, along the following lines.

2 Catchers 140K
2 Throwers 140K
1 Ogre 120K
8 Linemen 400K
2 Re-rolls 120K
1 Apoth. 50K
3 F.F. 30K

I don't like blitzers; I think 90K is a lot when you get two linemen with block for 50K, although jump up would be nice. I am tempted to drop one thrower and one catcher, get two more linemen and +1 re-roll. But the team would be a bit boring then!

Would like to run with a minotaur (am working on a nice conversion involving a minotaur and a halfling who is being split into three parts) but feel that WA is too much of a negative.

However I am not sure how much of a negative not having Star Players is. Having only played one game with them (using Count Luthor in an undead team) and seeing the way he dominated the game I tend to think you may need one.

Thoughts appreciated please!

i am poo with norse they keep breaking ;]
not having star players means more rr and players, think most rosters with a star are only having 11 players, so will have to be careful

good luck to you

Dropping a thrower and catcher for 2 linemen would only get you 40k, not enough for a re-roll unless you go to FF 1, which might be a risk.

I think you could get away with dropping a thrower, and taking a lineman and +2 FF.

Never actually played Norse without a blitzer or 3. I just love jumping up in oppo's faces and knocking them on their arse. Never fails to p*ss them off

The real worry is I've never played with or against the norse, and are not sure how well the armour will hold up. Basing the don't use berserkers on the 'fun' I have had with Witch Elves in the past.....

The problem with being down at the parents is a lack of opponents to play to test the teams out! I need to convince my nephew that he likes blood bowl :)

As it is for the tourney I don't mind dropping FF to 1; don't think it will make much difference across the games. How to doom my rolls on the kick off table with statements like that!

Cheers for the advice

and it specifically states in the rules (just received) that you can take Apothercaries this year too.
