I have just got home and found my ticket had been delivered. YAY !! :D

Having gone through the rules I would say Thrud is not allowed on 2 counts:

1) It says LRB applies unless specifically stated below and then further down under Star Players says You may only use the official Star Players from the list on the back of the Blood Bowl Handbook.

2) It states under Star Players that they cost the full price on the card and are not freebooted as this is not a league.

Prepared to risk it and face a yellow card (-5 points) for an illegal roster ?
Not I.
Not that I'd take him anyway.

MacSnaga: Andy Ok'd Thrud. Irrelevent to me anyway, and no, Thrud isn't in the Handbook. If people are thinking of taking Thrud, the best thing would be to turn up with two different rosters, 1 with and 1 without Thrud. Just in case.

I'll send the cards asap.

Deathwing is completely sure you can only buy 1 starplayer??? which would be thrudds cost? 50k is only to freebot it if I'm not wrong...

If you can really cope with drawing up FOUR rosters pre-tournament.
I hate filling in roster sheets. Got mine done bar the RR/FF/Apoth question last night. Evrything is safely packed in my Blood Bowl case. I'll be bringing my full kit. Just got to hope that BA don't get snotty about me carrying gaming figs in hand baggage. KLM were fine when I went to Tulip, but in a world where nail clippers are banned (despite heavy glass bottles of inflammable liquid being just fine) you never know. I'll prob. get in touch with them closer to the time.

The tournament rules state 'You may buy a star player if you wish'.

This would suggest to me that only 1 is allowed per team.

If Thrud is allowed then he really ought to be 50k per game. That's his freeboot cost and he only freeboots.

Well, taking what you said and considering you "reset" your team each round I have 2 points of view:
1) you need 300k to have him all matches.
or
2) If I have to have 1000k team each round, and thrudd will only cost 50k
(I rebuild my team so I don't waste y money)

Personally I have no objection to Thrud - there's a good chance he'll be playing for my side half the time if an opponent fields him.

Who let Thrud through the door?

Post by Mojoshenpo »

It would seem to me that ANY team with a coach that can stall turns will benefit most from Thrud! And then he only has a CHANCE of changing sides....

Sounds like a good investment to me....

Or am I missing something.... :-?

I'm really happy but still wonder what kind of team I should take... My last hesitation is about lizardmen or orcs...
