Female Helmeted Olley Head – Do You Want Some?

Post by axiom »

I have just commissioned the very talent Bob Olley to sculpt me up a helmeted fantasy footballing head for a project of mine. If you’re not familiar with Bob’s work, he’s worked for almost everyone from Citadel (e.g. 2nd edition Blood Bowl Ogres and Minotaurs), Ral Partha, Reaper and many more besides (check out his back catalogue). I’m keeping my project under wraps for now, but suffice it to say I needed a female helmeted head, in the inimitable Bob Olley style, compatible with his late 1980s and early 1990s Citadel and Iron Claw figures. Bob has matched the face to a specific 20-year old figure – hence why she’s no looker.

I actually need some copies of the heads, and am planning to have a handful cast in high quality resin for my project and for some mates who want some for themselves. This is a once in a lifetime casting run - however many get cast now will be it. No more. Ever! How many I cast really depends on you guys. The sculpt is going to be posted tomorrow, and I have until Tuesday 5th March to confirm with the caster how many I would like. At the moment it’s a limited edition run of 20, but it could easily be 30, 40 or more if anyone wants to join in.

I realise the utility of these is pretty niche, but they could work nicely on Amazons, Vampires, Witch Elves (if you like your female Elves a bit ugly), or even as a new take on Hobgoblins.

I’ll be selling the heads for £2 each plus postage (unfortunately on small casting runs, the fixed moulding costs makes casting relatively high per item). I am however only charging actual cost for the moulding/casting and not subsidising the sculpting costs. I will need confirmation of your interest by 12.00pm GMT on Tuesday 5th March in order to add your desired number to my casting order.

If you’re interested, please send me a PM stating:

Your name
Your location
The number of heads you would like
Your paypal details

Just feel free to get in touch if you fancy a couple :)

Possibly - the head is at the caster now; I'm expecting completion any day. How many do you need? Let me know and I can see if I can up the number.
