What gives it away? The fact that they're OOP and he has a lot of them? The fact that they're primed?

Does ebay have any vested interested in knowing this?

Is there anyone near Whitby who can visit him with a view to arranging an accident? Cos that's just taking the piss. :pissed:

Are the 1st ed Ogres worth anything? I have one of those and didn't even know that's what it was until now...

Also, is it a BB specific model - or did WHFB use them too? Because that would at least make some borderline sense to me owning it :P

What's worrying is that ebay shops are buying from him and reselling:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0281493264

He's also been selling some home made block dice.

He sold his 1st ogre for £24! He seems to have saturated the market...

Gropah, yes, it is a BB specific fig. was the 1st edition Bb Ogre.

Sent him a message asking how much it cost him to have them recast, and this is the reply i got:

"ogres came from a model/toy shop closing down sale in York over 10 years ago along with a large lot of other figures i got as a job lot they have been in the loft for a long time....i did think they may be recasts as there was over 40 of them but there was also about 10 treemen and loads of other different ogres and trolls as well as other bits and bobs....i was not trying to mislead anyone but just trying to make a few quid so i painted some up and undercoated the rest to sell
have tried to edit the listing to inform buyers they may be recasts and then to end the listing but because there is less than 12 to go i am not permitted to do so , therefore i have informed the highest last 3 bidders abouts the facts and will give them chance to pull out...."

So he's either legit, or really cocky.

Of course he's lying. What model/toy shop would have 40 Ogres in stock?

PS: Who cares? I have never understood the need to collect older, crappier figures. There are many far more attractiove Ogre models on the market now.

Don't know if it's true now, but the loca model shop used to have to order a minimum of 50 of each pack of miniatures it wanted. Some pack would have the 50 made up of different blisters (10 of A, 20 of B, 20 of C), some packs would be 50 of one blister.
