Requesting a GA on this auction

Post by BigD »

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1771480558

I'd like to grab this if possible to complete two teams. There are about 8 or so figures I need from this lot to complete my teams. I will make the rest available for trades once I've completed this. If anybody has a particular interest in any piece please let me know

Hi BigD,

if i see this right, there is one rare elf catcher 3, we talk about, in this lot. If you get this lot , maybe you can reserve this one for me. If you don´t need him ?Maybe as exchange for the rare orc catcher ?

If there is the kicker 1 of the elves in this lot, i´m also interested. With those two i would finish another team of my collection :)

Dark Elf Catcher 3...

Post by BigD »

Don't see this as being a problem. I thought it was Catcher 2 but if I win it will let you know and see what we can sort out.

... at the third pict from above on the ebay auction you can see all together four, but three different elv catchers. The one left is the catcher 3 as i think. Watch out , his feather is already bend.

You can make your try BigD. I just mention that I have my eye already on this auction as well.

I don't need all miniatures like you, so if I win we can talk about which minis you want

Hi Relborne,

No problem. Haven't had a descent look at the pictures yet but I have my catcher-3 so that isn't a problem. Guess its going to be 'may the best man win and no GA' then. Okay then. Us Elephants have bloody good memories LOL

OK gents, I invented the bloody Gents Agreement idea so we could help each other from being sniped, not so we could taunt one another on what we were or were not going to snipe from fellow TalkBBers...

Relborn, you are out of line here. I realise there has been some history of problems between yourself and BigD on the buying front, but either get over it or stop posting GAs.

Myself and BigD have an understanding which perhaps you and I and he could come to. I won't ever out-bid BigD. If he bids on something I want, I'll mail him and ask if he REALLY wants it, or if it is an unwanted part of a larger sale. Guys like BigD and Galak have a lot of duplicates lying around which I am happy to buy from them after a sale closes and everyone wins!

This keeps the price of auctions low as we don't over bid one another. Common sense really!

Now children, play nice! 8)

This Auctions and Gentlemen's Agreements...

Post by BigD »

Relborne, sorry I'm still waiting on a lot of figures to show up. Hence I haven't done anything on the dwarf front with yourself. Also I've got to say I'd forgotten as I had a hard-disk die in my system so did a complete rebuild but did lose email so for that I'm sorry.

Norse, thanks for that. I've gotta get my list done up for both yourself and DFC. I'm hoping for some spare time this weekend to do just that but as its also my Wedding Anniversary and a friend of ours has a new baby I'm not promising anything. We're pretty much booked out for time but I've some tonight and I'll be up at some ridiculous hour feeding my daughter anyway over the weekend so hopefully get a bit of cataloging in then.

Also Norse, we've gotta talk. I'll PM you shortly.

If anybody has a particular auction I've bid and there is a particular piece in it you need just let me know. When it comes to 2nd Edition I'm looking mainly to collect one of each piece. Thats all. So any extras are definitely tradable or at worse case buyable. Just let me know. Good Thing is with the number of auctions I've bid on I'm very close to making complete teams bar 'Unreleased' and 'Rare' figures but for those I'll generally go for the one-off only, not a complete team. I prefer to play with the more modern pieces but don't rule out an Undead Team showing up with a couple of 1st or 2nd Edition Skeletons. Just wish they did Undead as 2nd Edition.

Relborne, if you really want this lot let me know so maybe we can split it between us. I'll tell you what I'm looking for. I'm sure we can sort something out.

This Auction and the Spikey Tournament...

Post by BigD »

Relborne, agreed. Okay. Lets bury the hatchet. I read this particular forum of TBB a lot as you'll notice and check my email as much as humanly possibly. Truce?

Oh, and maybe coming to Spikey. Have paid for it but all depends with family and stuff. Just gotta see. If I make it I'm bringing Undead. The Orcs are out this tournament. The team is in purely for a bit of simple MDK.

funny thing with your GA here... so it seems to me as newbie in this forum. But while watching the last ebay-weeks i was asking myself, if BigD is collecting single minis to finish teams or just try to get all minis on the free market :) Anyway, i got a few to exchange and will try to get the rare ones i´m still missing.

I´m collecting the single minis of GW BB minis. Not teams of the 2.ed for playing. I got a Dwarf 3.ed, orc 3.ed, norse 4.ed, amazone 4.ed team in playable strengh. That´s enough for the moment.
