This is not my auction, just something I stumbled across and thought people here might be interested:

Recaster? He seems to have a LOT of extremely rare models, all put up at the same time.

Not saying it's impossible, but I doubt it; I saw the listing mentioned when he posted a painting question on a LiveJournal-based miniatures painting community. I don't know him so I could be wrong, but I get the feeling it's more likely just a guy who's moving in a different direction in what he collects and is liquidating an unused part of his collection. I mean, none of the figures I sold recently were the super rarities or anything but still, just a few weeks ago, I put a something like 60-70 late-80s GW figures -- mostly Blood Bowl but also a few 40K, all from the same era this guy's selling -- on eBay all at once. I can guarantee I didn't recast any of them, it was just a matter of them sitting around for a long time as I'd intended to sell them off eventually, and finally something (my moving, and listing a bunch of other stuff anyway) prompted me to getting around to doing so.

As in all things, just another case of caveat emptor, I suppose. *shrug*
