It's up to $80, which seems as a pretty hefty price.

Am I missing something?

Looks like the contents of the box set plus 4 counters/rerolls. Yep, look expensive to me.

Dunno, 2nd edition skaven, 16, sounds about right.

Yeah, that seems expensive to me as well. Just say thank you, and take the money. I wouldn't worry, someone must be putting alot of value in those figs

Nope, it's about right, i just sold a 2nd ed Darkie team on ebay. 14 players and it went for about £35 excluding P&P

Gotta remember, the skav's were probably the best looking and maybe most popular of the 2nd ed mini's. $4 is a decent price.

Yeah it's a decent price, more than I paid when I got mine from Tritex. But still worth it as the there is 16 players and the 2nd Ed Skaven are fantastic sculpts imo.

It's really not worth trying to beat that bid, as anything more would start reaching the overpayment bracket.

There's a good variety of minis in there and I value 2nd ed Skav at around $6 each. Maybe a little credit for not being bare metal but light primer doesn't hurt anything so that's about right.

It's 2nd ed Skaven? What are the 4 small-ish players that I thought were rerolls or counters or something?

I have never seen a 2nd ed Skaven team, and the picture ain't that great, so I can't identify the positions.

The look to be linerats. They're on their backs and not in bases so they look smaller to you.

I would be more worried of the bidding style than the price.

looks to me like someone could be hiking up the price

Actually, having looked at the other items the seller have been involved in before. The 'winner' does infact display the same bidding style as the seller.

But that could all be coincidence. The winner could just have really, really wanted the team and be one of those bidders who has to "just win by a couple of cents" and constantly rebids as a consequence.

*shrugs*

Speaking as the seller, I can guarantee that the price wasn't "hiked up". I was actually surprised at the price it went for, as I was expecting more like $50 US. The winner was bidding on several 2nd ed skaven teams at the time, and in fact won another one a few days later.

Never said it was, in fact I did state the price was pretty fair.
