Some time ago, well July 2005! I bought a 17 man Lizardman team off this guy, undercoated black, got them at a decent price too, about £20... anyway, I was trawling ebay again and see this auction, see its £41 so have a look to see if its a pinted team, when I look at the item, its a 17 man Lizardman squad, same minis, same poses (there are 2 skink poses) undercoated black, and you guessed it, same seller...

The minis I got I thought were recasts, some of the xasting wasnt good, you would think there wasnt enough metal to fully fill the mini out, and the krox's eye sockets arent well formed... some of you might remember me going on about it on here before... but now Im suspicious... anyone else share my suspicions

If the guy is a TBB'er and its all above board, then my apologies, Im just wondering!

remember my Pro Elves who I got from the same guy... well take a look at this pic, check the mini at the bottom, on the left...

Now, check my mini which I posted up here before that I thought was a recast... different angle...

Same seller, what do you think? Both teams are of the exact same makeup of what I have here...

though i agree you should report him, trust me, ebay won't do squat about it. my wife has a very successful ebay store and every time someone ether refuses to pay, or whatever, my wife gets almost the same results from ebay: nothing. sorry you got ripped, rob.

I bought exactly the same lot (lizzie team) for £21 before Christmas. I've had a really good look at them, and I can't find any fault with the casting.

So I can't complain about the minis, but it is more than a bit odd. And it is a real pain in the backside that they are undercoated so badly.

Unfortunately, people are beginning to realise that there is money in Bloodbowl, so they are taking the piss.

I've seen a lot of auctions, that to me were VERY dubious. There is a spanish guys who seems to sell ONLY BB dice. And if you look at the designs, they're not quite right.

Mini's getting recast, current models being sold as OOP.

Be careful out there!!!! :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

If you refer to orgetorix, who is selling blood bowl dices in this forum, I can assure you there is nothing odd about him. The dices have a different design than games workshop's in order to avoid copyright problems, and they are made by the very same enterprise which currently makes the official ones in Spain.

In the other hand, I've also seen a lot of fake minis out there, but unfortunately, most of the time they are very hard to spot unless you actually look for traces of recasting.

recasts ..

the angles of the dice are different (more angular) and the dice seem to be 'spotty'

let's ask the guy some questions :P

The eyes and the noe on the skull is wrong too.
So yeah, he's either recasting, or making a very close copy

Maybe it's down to personal preference, but I actually don't mind the look of those "recast" dice. They are different sure, but there is nothing wrong with that, in fact some people like different.

It's very odd that the Lizardmen team has been primed before the parts are glued together. Nobody would do that. Looks like he wants to give them a look like them coming from someones gaming box.
