If you like converting, I can strongly recommend buying a box of chaos marauders, from WHFB. Those make good norse, or humans.

Sorry for the thread-hijack, but what's the problem with square bases ? It's easier to aly them face up/down anyway, and they came with the box.

not with my BB box ;-)

IMHO, and I guess that's the thing Naz means to say as well .. square bases look OK if the fig is in a unit. Round ones look much better (again IMHO) for more individually placed figs like BB or 40K .. I even did sorcers etc on round ones for my WHFB Welfs)

I agree that the prone / stunned stuff is easier with square ones .
Ancacalon even wrote 'prone' and 'stunned' on the sides to indicate the physical condition of his lizzies ..

I prefer round bases to square, but I tried my lizzies (converted from the new[-ish] WFB lizards) on the round bases, and because of the tails (which I didn't have the guts to try to bend) the square ones were just so much easier to use.

I HATE square bases on bb minis. Always have, and the first thing that I did when they brought out the large round bases was to rebase my big guys. I know its irrational, but darn it, it dosn't LOOK right.
