Anyone been watching this guy's auctions?

He had 4 painted BB teams last week and of the 3 I watched, elzabeth8000 bid on all of them, often taking them to their reserves.

He's got another 3 going right now and elzabeth8000 is bidding on them all again. Now "she" has 0 feedback, and these teams are nice, but getting prices waaaay over what most nice BB teams get (£130 for those woodies??) - anyone else think something sus is going on. Or am I just cynical and elzabeth REALLY wants a nicely painted BB team.

report em. hes price hiking more likely...

He probably created a seperate account to hike the prices up. its against Ebays EULA and is just bad taste.

I dont like sellers like that.

This Elzabeth Character is newer than that. Looks like account created just before first set of auctions. Multiple bids below the reserve price gets the item hot without fear of outbidding a potential buyer. Naughty.

Clincher for me (if it was needed cos this looks like clear cut shill-bidding) is last week's http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... RK:MEWA:IT
In the bid history, Elzabeth retracted a bid that would have won the auction with excuse "bid incorrect amount". Course the fact that the eventual winner's bid was then revealed makes it very unfair (and hence why it is expressly forbidden). Stay clear of these auctions.

So, has anyone reported it?

Yes

I did earlier today.

I don't know if others reporting would help or hinder though. The guy has 300 plus feedback and I can't see evidence of him doing it on ther auctions - wonder why now.

That's blatant price hiking.
They're nice enough, but I'd NEVER pay that much for a team, painted or no.

I know the seller of that Necro team. He did a Woodelf team for me with a custom Treeman. He's simply fantastic.

Y'know, that's really not a lot of money for a paint job of that quality. You've got to factor in $60 worth of bare metal figs at GW prices, and you've really gotta at least quadruple that for top notch stuff. At (say) an average (minimum) 2 hours a fig then you're talking 32 hours work for $140....
$200 would be an absolute steal, which is why painting professionally is a mug's game.

With the pitch as well, I hope it goes for serious money, and $200 for that auction isn't serious money by a long way....
