Shadowforge Female Orc Team not yet released

Post by Babs »

As promised, I've acquired 3 Female Orc Teams - with 26 figures each.

The Miniatures thread about them (with pictures on page 4 of the thread much more clear) is here:

http://www.talkbloodbowl.com/phpBB2/vie ... sc&start=0

(The thread will tell you details like the fact the team is not available to purchase until the End of April.)

Anyway, I'm Ebaying 1 team. It's here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 78899&rd=1

And here's a picture or two to whet your appetite:

Feel free to PM me for questions about the team.

Price 1 day to go.

Post by Babs »

One thing I forgot to mention on the auction is that the Shadowforge price per miniature has gone up with these Orcs. (honestly, see the thread in 'miniatures' and you'll see Ian "Doubleskulls" Williams tell you this!)

Because of the extra lead used, and the complicated mould poses (which Neil has been told will wear out the moulds in half the number of casts as usual), the price of these orcs, when released late April/Early May is AU$6 per figure.

That places the team at a cost of AU $156.
(I know, sounds like Games Workshop Pricing hey!)

But the team _has_ got 26 individual figures (27 including the unreleased orc ref given away to players of CanCon), so it's not that bad.

Anyway, one day to go, and the team hasn't even reached 'cost' price to but from Shadowforge yet. And it's pre release. This suprises me.

There is actaully 16 players there and 10 staff, all you need to do is use two lineman as BOB's (a bit of greenstuff for the big hair do's and ring bases spring to mind), and buy a troll and girlyfy it

If anyone of you reconsider, I have two more Orc teams waiting ( I know of 6 Female teams owned by others already - I snapped up 3 bringing the total of pre-release teams to 9). I was planning to Ebay one of them, but if two of you want to pay the Ebay auction-winning price, I won't bother.

I really want at least one of these teams to go to a TBB home - because I want to see them painted and on the miniatures page (and besides, I love youse guys! 8) )

PM me if you're interested. As I have stated, I DEFINATELY want to sell one to a TBB member. Two maybe if people are quick and I don't put the other on Ebay first.

Remember, the team will cost roughly AU$156 new (all 26 figs at AU$6 each). That doesn't include shipping. Hopefully you appreciate I'd like a little extra for them being pre-release (it gives you a jumpstart on painting and all!)

The team of 11 will cost AU$60ish. (Neil normally throws in a figure for free like that).
The team of 16 will therefore cost AU$90. You will be able to order extra Black Orcs, etc. once the team is released, which is very late April or early May.

Hi Babs,

it's a decent offer and I would love to be able to help.. but I just know I would end up adding to my lead collection and not my painted mini's colelction...

I will buy the Cheerleaders when they become available just to give my blue and yellow Orcs something to look at while Skaven run past with alarming ease, but a full team is just going to demoralise me..
