Ork Pirate models?

Post by MikeyL »

Having just gotten back into blood bowl after a long non-nuffle period, I'm starting an orc team. Supporting Tampa Bay Buccaneers I thought I would link colour schemes, name and perhaps a theme through the team, staff and a pitch (once I get around to it).

Then looking through the GW online store site for staff for my team, I remembered the 40K freebooter models which were basically ork pirates!

I can't find any of these models in the cataloge though

Did I imagine these models or do they actually exist (and are still in production), does anyone know where I can get them from (models, parts for converting, anything really)

Thanx to all for replies, great site and community and I hope having found these boards, that I'll become a regular :D

As allways with OOP miniatures you're best bet is eBay

Wow quick reply thanx :)

I didn't know they were out of production but surpose I should have guessed. E-bay sounds good idea. Might take a while for any to come up though, certainly enough bits to cusomise the whole team. I might try and get hold of some for the coaching staff and for building the pitch, but guess best bet for the team itself is just to use the basic orc team models with a colour scheme and perhaps try and use green stuff to produce a team symbol. Think completly converting a team from basic orcs is above my abilities though lol

Anyone on here who happens to have models/parts, especially those with an obvious BB context such as a captain (head coach / mascot) or medic kind of model, please post here or message me if you are willing to sell.

Thanks alot snotsngrots :D

Think I've sent u the email right, so looking forward to seeing those boyz

Have bought quite a few basic orc and goblin models and think I'm going to get enough gobbos for a team in their own right as in my first couple of games, the one little runt in my orc side has been top scorer 8)

When I get around to converting / painting the team I'll try and post some pics, but going to wait and try to get the freebotta parts first

They are featuring some dwarf and gobbo pirates in the WD (UK) at the moment, with the "bugman's lament" series. So, perhaps you can still mailorder them...?

Just an idea.

Snots, how many of them do you have?

If you have a few more to spare, I might be interested.

I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.
