how much would this team be worth?

Well, at the Brassbowl I won a very well painted skaven team (painted by Christof, president of the Brassman club). I don't really want to sell it because it's so nicely painted, but tbh I don't like playing skaven so they're really not much use to me. Anyway what do you experts think it might go for on ebay (basically it's the skaven box + rat ogre, but painted: see pics). I don't really need the money now so I'll hang on to them anyway but who knows...

especially page 2 seems to take ages to load tough:

Difficult to say without clearer pics.

And tidy up that computer desk! :)

dont consider this rude but i dont think they are well painted enough to command a high price... maybe list them and see - but i would be suprised if they were worth 75£+

(kinda hard as each team is unique painting)

I didn't paint them, just won them as a prize, so you can be as rude/honest as you want. 60 £ would already be pretty good imho.

One of the things that always gets more money is if you had a full squad.... 12 or 13 players means having to get a few more painted in the same style.

I saw them in the flesh, and they are very nice, much better than the pics suggest..

on a side note though, I think it is pretty sad that you would consider selling something which was both a thoughtful and generous top prize.. to be honest, I'm pretty appauled.. my DO vamps are still in their box because I don't like the models or the team rules, but I would rather sell my eye-teeth than part with them...

seriously dude, how mercenary are you? develop a conscience will you please..

Even with this being your personal decision and the fact that you are free to do what you want with your possesion, I have to agree with Norse statement (minus the rough words).

@Norse: as if your eye-teeth are a crowd puller... :D

I agree it is a very generous top prize. And as I said I won't be selling it now as now I don't need the money. But seriously now, what good is the team sitting in a box somewhere in the cupboard? Wouldn't it be better if someone actually actually played them and people could admire Christophe's fine work? If I need the money (I am planning on moving places so it could become a reality) I surely won't hesitate to sell them should the need for cash arrive, same goes for my Dark Eldar 40k army which I spent years painting (admitted, crapily) because I haven't played 40k in a loooong time. I am sorry that offends you. But sometimes RL is more important then painted pewter men collecting dust on my shelves/in a box.
And rest assured I don't go to tourneys hoping I can win some prize so I can sell it for a quick buck.

I am nowhere near a good enough player to be doing that.

Tuern, you should trade them with the one who won the last prize at the Brassbowl for his prize!

Now who would that be? :o

:o what rough words? I was being as diplomatic as I get!

and Tuern, selling models which you have painted is fine, I do it all the time  , I just think selling a prize is somehow wrong... it's your team though, so do what you want with it.. sorry for the rant...

PS what does RL stand for - Real Life? :-?

I agree with Tuern here, if there indeed as nice as Norse says they are, then surely they would be better used with someone who will actually will use them / show off the paint job at tornis??? And to suggest someone would go to tornis to make money is a little far fetched, even if he sold them for £75 that probably wouldnt cover the cost of the weekend (maybe wrong not sure how much he spent :D ).

But as Ian said if it was a full 16 team it probably would get a bigger price but it would still be a team someone would cosidor buying, even possibly me  :D

We'll have to disagree there Valen...

if you would rather a team was used by someone who really wanted it then sell it and donate the money to charity, or give it to a guy who wants to play but is seriously hard up...

I never suggested people went to tourneys to make money, it is an unlikely proposition unless you are Sputnik or Del anyway...

and for the record, there will almost certainly be very limited edition models at this year's Tulips... if anyone attending tries to sell them afterwards they forfeit their invite for all future Tulips... it's an honour thing... in the immortal words of Dave Mustane, the spoils of war are mine to keep... or something like that anyway...

Very good points, but if it came down to a choice of being hard up and having a painted team you are never going to use and have the little bit of extra cash from selling them then you cant really blame him can you?
