they are not solid: silver coated resin.

My set has been stolen at the post office

The seller has sold them before at ebay, but until his auctions were held in italian only.

I wrote about them. Here's what I got back.

Code: Select all

You asked:
"Are these dice solid silver or are they plated? Thank you, Snew"

These are solid silver dices like an object you can buy in a jewerly
He says they're solid. Too bad I have to give Norse all my money for his CDs or I could put a decent bid in.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's just the language barrier, he could mean solid in the sense of "not hollow". Anyway, pure silver would be quite heavy isn't it? IMO too heavy to play with.

As my set got lost, maybe Dave or Traveller can enlighten us if they are solid or have a resin core. I still believe in the latter as the guy seems to do other stuff with resin. Just my opinion.

are these just dice that have been through a plating process? If so how much does it cost to get the process done?

I think the other side of Ken's question there was ... DAVE how much did it cost for you to get each of your two silver plated sets. Traveller has a set as well based on looking at his website.

I'd agree to a GA Poul ... but I haven't even decided how much I'm willing to pay for these. If this seller makes several of these, its only a matter of time before we see more auctions and running each other up WAY high might seem silly 6 months from now looking back.
