Bb Computer game on ebay? Does it work?

Post by Levinas »

Hi, has anyone tried the BB computer game on XP? There's a guy on ebay selling it (and I thinnk it's been sold a few times) and I'd like it if it would work on xp bt I checked out his feedback and one buyer said it didn't. Anyone had better luck? The item number is 3183687484 .
Cheers

You can just download it from those abandonwarez sites around, The Underdogs, Classic Trash .. just go for a search ...

I had it running at a 98 se box with no problems, but i couldn't make it work on a XP home ed.

If you got it running in win98 have you tried changing the compatibility settings in winxp to win98?

It works fine on XP if you know what you are doing.

I'd best give up now then  .

Thanks for the links though - despite my luddite approach to computers I think I'll give it a go....

Nonono, I'm not recommending he purchase it. If you want it, go get it from an abandonware site. DON'T BUY IT. It ain't worth it (unless you want it for a collectors item or something)

Well, I got DosBox... excellent program by the way... I can actually play my old Lucas Arts games now... woo hoo!!

Anyways, I kinda got Blood Bowl running on it, just having a small issue with sound...

Anyone that has gotten it to work could you post what you configured your sound as?

Thanks.

I didn't have a problem with it... except that it is truly awful. ;) First thing I did when starting up was look for the music/sound effects "Off" switch.

What was the problem? Any other games have similar issues?
