So I was fortunate to win 2 of the minis I still need to complete my collection off of eBay. Unfortunately, the email address linked to the eBay account keeps bouncing and the seller did not provide a postal address to correspond in that fashion.

Has anyone ever ever dealt with the eBayer (margaretthorn) before? If so, could you PM me the contact information you used?

I've worked with him many times and had no problems.

I don't have his email here (at home) but I've got it at work. I might even has his snail mail address.

I'll check on Monday.

I think it's just his mail address that is screwed. Paid for an auction recently, and the mini arrives yesterday. So he is posting, just not e-mailing

Quoting myself.
It's been a month, and i still haven't got the 4 BB magazines from this user at eBay, real name Jason.
He is supportive, and we are trying to get things done the right way, but still no clue where my package went.

Anyone able to explain my how things go if you need to ask for your money back at PayPal?

They never give it to you unless you paid the extra dollar for the buyers protection. Similar to eBay, they do an "investigation" then they'll come back and explain that it was the seller's fault but there's nothing they can do.

I'd still file with them since your seller is still actively trading but you may be better off trying to get the seller to refund your money.

Did he ship Airmail or Surface? Surface can take weeks. Airmail is usually only a 5 or 6 days. I have had one airmail package take 4 weeks though and several others have taken 2 weeks but those are scarce.

We have come to an agreement, and Jason has sent my money back.
If i ever end up getting those magazines, i'll get back to him and pay for them of course. Gentleman's agreement at it's best, i guess.

Glad to hear everything ended well. If you don't pay for the paypal insurance a lot of times it is easier to go through your credit card company then paypal to get your money back.

Am I ever finding this out the hard way.

I have had a long drawn out problem with a seller. At this point I just want my money back. Here is the real annoying bit about all of this. eBay has disabled the sellers account, CLEARLY indicated the seller has done something wrong. Yet, they refuse to refund my money. And they (paypal) has yet to provide me with an adequate explanation as to why they refuse to refund my money.

It sucks, because eBay/PayPal is really the only game in town. Their customer service is bleak to say the least.

oh, and before I go and confuse anyone, the seller in question (for my particular dispute) is NOT margaretthorn.

I'm just speaking to the general level of frustration wtih eBay/PayPal
