Artificial Penguin wrote:I'm tired of fellow Americans of mine that actually believe this jingoistic crud. If it weren't for the French, we might never have the country we do...apparently the history of our revolution is being rewritten...
Actually it's funny...somebody sent me a chain email about "boycotting french products" with a list of stuff that's produced in France. Turns out that with the exception of some allergy medicine, I've been boycotting them all along without really knowing it! The only other stuff on there I can even remember was Michelin tires and some types of cheese that I don't eat...oh and yogurt.

Anyway, without getting too political, I think we more than made up for their help in the American Revolution in 1917 and 1944...but that doesn't mean we should be mad at the French people now, either. This country (and most of Europe) is built on free speech and the right to disagree peacefully. How hard is that?

He, i think if somebody would send me a list of american products to boykott it would be returned to sender for busting my 2MB email limit

Boykott against whole countries always hurts the wrong ppl ... see boykott of Iraq ... Saddam never looked like he suffered from hunger.

Just my little 2c of politics that should be allowed.
