Brought a few figs, including enough Ghouls to make a Ghoul-only Streetbrawl squad (now there's an idea!).

Like Lahatiel, I'm reserving judgement on the DB Mino until more angles and a painted version, but if it looks good, I'll get one.

Did get the old Manbane (finally) and the Ogre with the Table (either to do a scoreboard conversion like Indi did, or to use as my WHQuest character).

We're not interested in angels. Go to www.happyclappy.com for that stuff. We're interested in Minotaurs here.

Thanks for pointing this out. I was at work when I posted earlier, and didn't have enough time to go looking on my own. I can't say the other angles helped my opinion of the minotaur; his head looks too small, and I'd have liked to see more hair and/or fur on him -- and no, the pubes don't count! But I also looked at the additional views of the ghoul while I was there and it, on the other hand... Let me reiterate my previous statement on how cool I think the ghoul is.

I usually love andy's stuff, but I have to agree, I prefer Manbane. He just captured the rage, power, etc. Not sure about the goul with the ball. I like the other ones that are convertable more, imho.

LOL You lot are never happy. I do a big troll, you complain it's too big, I do a big bodied minotaur, you complain his head's too small. I'm not too worried though, because the first DB Minotaur met with the same overwhelming shrug of indifference and now it sells quite well. So hopefully this one will too. (I bloody hope so, I spent ages on it)

With regard to hair/fur - Show me a very hairy bull other than a 'highland' one. Most cows have leathery skin with very short hair. Too fine to show properly with sculpting. if you look at this minotaur paint job, you can see the effect better.
Image

Now mentally apply this scheme to the new mino et viola - hairiness without coarse shaggy (even amateurish) crap all over it.
Image

Incidentally in this pic, his head is very slightly smaller than in real life. Slight distortion by the macro thingy there.

Well I like both of em Andy's right about cattle they ony have longer hair around the nether regions, the head and the tip of the tail

as for the goul I'd expect one to look withered and wheezy but with an unatural turn of speed and agility

I'll be doing anothe DB Ogre or two in the near future. I fancy a Team Captain type.

I also meant to add: Minotaurs are traditionally human bodies with bulls head, so again with the not so hairy. I'm trying to keep mine a little more human/cow mixed together, so smooth bodies.

(entirely beside the point but FYI: I do intend at some point to do 'manotaurs' which would be around 7-8 feet tall minotaurs. keeps the RPG crowd happy then. Not everyone wants minotaurs of 12 - 20 foot height.)

Well, I thought the running deathball mino you did was the best minotaur ever. It inspired me to run out and get myself a chaos or chaos dwarf team, just so I can justify having the bloody thing.

The new one, is just like that. Only its exactly the same style as the deathball barbaians I cornered into being chaos warriors so its exactly what the doctor ordered!
